lol if I set my lumens above 300 it over exposes the picture and for the life of me I can not figure out why. I have gone through everything I can think of. Really destroying my photos.

hello, this tutorial is very clear, and the render stunning. However, I on my version of twinmotion, I can't flip area lights upside down, nor tilt them 90° of else. twinmotion 2022.1.2. Thanks

good you get the maxout ofthis software. But i see a lot extra work to get something still not close to many othersolution that have better lighting/technology from the core. Simply opening in unicorn render and set a hdri, drag some materials already is a lot better than this endresults. TM ends where Unicorn render begins. Send me the skp file and i will make a video showing you the steps.

What do you think, would you still need all of these extra area lights and shadows for this type of realistic interior even if you used the new ray tracing capability of twinmotion?

I wonder what are your exposure and ambient lighting settings, specially since you had to make your area lights so bright

Nice work! How are you able to achieve the translucent (semi-transparent) curtains? Will the model work in TM 2021.1 and does it include the material to achieve the same results?

Why are you setting a high value for your light? I mean, how come a high value isn't burning up your scene?

Hi, Great tutorial, thanks. I bought the scene on GumRoad. I am using TwinMotion 2021 and unfortunately the lights are all to be adjusted, the values are completely different. Did you by any chance have an update for those who bought the scene? Thank you ;)

Arne, this was the best tutorial for twinmotion lighting i've seen so far, as a wannabe lighting designer you approached the topic with the much needed subtlety that I needed to learn. Thank you for posting this, I subscribed.

I have not used Twinmotion much, but I do work with other architects that prefer it as their visualization tool. I always saw these badly illuminated interiors they used to show me, thinking that it was just a limitation of the software that we had to live with. Now I see that they were just slacking on their skills and letting the automatic lighting do the job, with the poor global illumination solution offered in Twinmotion. I'm going to share this video right away!

Hello Arne, first of all, I want to thank you for sharing your knowledge and then asking you, do lights such as Arealight, Omnidirectional und Spots, work during the day or in natural light?
In the TM19 version it worked but I think that in TM20.2 it does not work the same, I ask because I think that to perform an interior Render during the day, daylight is not enough

Hi Arne, great job. I have a question tough. I would like to ask you how do you manage it to set tha background image with the skyline in a curved wall. I have imported the curved wall and applied a TM decal. After that changed the picture on the decal for the skyline I want, but surprise, the decal doesn't fit into a curved wall and it's shown completely flat, so it doesn't look as nice as yours. I use Revit for modeling and also have tried with the revit decal wich they fit perfectly into a curved wall, but it's not exported to TM. How do you manage it?. Thanks a lot in advance and keep pushing.
