The more l watch about Hawaii the more it appears like a giant Volcano full of 💩 ready to erupt 🌋
ОтветитьJamaican 🇯🇲 here visiting my new Jamaica(Hawaii) soon🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьI forgot one again, why did you didn't mention reason of avoiding 'mainland problems' (gun crimes and gangs) and politics riff-raffs, it should be there as one of the reason why people would move there.
ОтветитьI live in California. I'm leaving next week for a one week vacation in Honolulu Hawaii. I'm going to drive there in my new car because I'm afraid of flying.
ОтветитьMoving away
ОтветитьI believe San Francisco Bay Area is even more expensive than Honolulu. Average rent is 30% higher. Median home price for 3 brdroom house is about $1.5M. Property tax is 5 times of Honolulu. It is said you need more than $200K of income to buy a house.
The big difference is that people in Bay Area have higher income jobs.
Love that it's the least white state!!
Ответить$12 an hour??? After tax you get $8.
ОтветитьNumber one and only reason is to Push Hawaiian Brown skin people off the islands and live Our lifestyle We knew for centuries
ОтветитьIt's amazing health care here in HI.
ОтветитьThank you ❤❤Do they have mosquito
ОтветитьBriggs can you afford to live there?
ОтветитьNot everyone is moving there only the filthy rich.
Ответитьleast white state in the country? so… not a lot of primitive minded trumpers. nice 👍
ОтветитьLike many of us pre-retirement with a 10 years of time to check out what is available and what we can afford (look at every states and decide on oahu,Hawaii) fast forward to now, glad we retired in honolulu before the covid-19 event. Not sure if we could survive the lockdown indoors. It is what it is PARADISE. Life is short, so let's live a little.
ОтветитьHAWAII IS RACIST
ОтветитьHawaii is not a nice place to live i`m sorry (unless you are a millionaire), it`s filled with mean people, too high cost of living, homeless people everywhere, no jobs, very high gas price and nature is nice but too overcrowded wherever you go, traffic is just a nightmare just like California..People living on the islands are too worry meeting ends need that they are forgetting the beauty hawaii has to offer..
ОтветитьI don’t necessarily agree with the great healthcare statement. Personal experience says there’s considerable medical malpractice going on. People don’t live long because of the healthcare establishment. Many Asians in particular, partake in eastern medicine, not western.
ОтветитьYes I left Cali to vacay in Waikiki we saw whole island and I could breathe and had no body pain when I got back home it was back to heavy back pain, body ache, headache and it's harder to breathe here in California.😢
ОтветитьI mean if you're in the service industry they probably still run you down when it comes to shifts.
ОтветитьNobody moving to Hawaii. Its Texas and Florida.
ОтветитьWow you said Hawaii is like Jamaica but without the dreadlocks? Racists much....👎👎👎
ОтветитьDo you know "D R I P" ? Thanks.
ОтветитьThe food is free for military? Who told you that?
ОтветитьWell, now people are LEAVING HI. Crime, cost of living/taxes; and swarms of homeless people on the streets and beaches doesn't help either. It's what the residents voted for, BTW. Honolulu at least, is NOT what it appears in the propaganda: I've been going there because of work for over decade and it has definitely seen its better days. Outside the tourist areas it is run down with office buildings vacant..Sad. I will say in fairness that Kaneohe, and Aiea both still seem like nice places to live.
ОтветитьI just saw Hawaii as one of the fastest shrinking states on a list. So someone is wrong
ОтветитьSo basically Hawaii has turned into little China. I find it SOOOOO sad, that the amazing "TRUE Native" of Hawaii is only Ten percent. Makes my heart cry, that they have basically been forced out of their home.
ОтветитьHawaii is a pretty place but there's a dark side to living in paradise. Limited health care, high cost of living, low wage jobs, high cost of electricity, gas is right under $6 bucks a gallon, bad traffic. Expect to pay $2-$5 more for each of your grocery items than in other places. Very limited for starting a business, education quality can be low. But you have hot weather and beautiful beaches. There are some very nice people and very racist people and locals dislike anyone that's not from there. Oahu is mostly a military base, lots of homeless and very transient. We enjoyed Hawaii for many years, on different islands and have great memories but happy to be moving away soon. The locals alway complain that they want Hawaii for themselves and I think they are right, they can have it all for themselves. Aloha
ОтветитьYou mean "why are people moving out of Hawaii?"
ОтветитьIf you go to higher elevations like Wahiawa and Mililani it gets to 67 degrees.
ОтветитьEverybody moving there? What for. Nothing to do but go to the beach everyday. Oahu has so many high rise buildings you can't see the beach. I left and never returned. No culture there anyway
ОтветитьKnob Hill?? Ave C local circa 1970-1985, here :)
ОтветитьI enjoyed watching this video. I am a Kenyan and I hope to visit Honolulu, HI one day.
ОтветитьSo many homeless people from the mainland showing up in Honolulu.
ОтветитьThat Jamaica comment was extremely racist
ОтветитьVisited Oahu in early March and mostly loved it but not completely. It was very windy. The waves were great. Cons: Oahu is extremely touristy, over crowded, with lots of snobby rich. The beaches and parks are beautiful except some are not easily accessible and require reservations due to crowds and limited parking spaces. Some restaurants are great. Most are average. The nightlife in Oahu is great and the music on the radio is much better than Kauai that also has no real nightlife. I prefer Oahu to Kauai.
Ответить#8 Good wages. This is not true. Hawaii has some of the lowest wages vs the mainland. I'm not sure where you got this information, I'd like to see a link and verify where they got their information.
The economy in Hawaii, being tourism-based, cannot support "good wages". By that term I would assume you mean the local people have disposable income to spend on items like nicer cars and dining out. This is not the case. Many Hawaii people work 2 or more jobs just to pay the rent/mortgage and stay afloat. Hawaii is a tourism economy, which is cyclical. The hotels pay staff usually just minimum wages. There is large disparity between income and cost of living. Most Hawaii people do not have much disposable income.
Compare to the Bay Area, Northern California for example. The Bay Area is one of the highest paying areas of the nation. Its a business and IT based economy. These industries pay well. There is plenty of disposable income afforded to people in these industries. The gap between income and cost of living is not as large as Hawaii.
Example of business growth: Notice what happens when Amazon opens a facility in an area. The real estate booms and jobs employ the local peoples. Talks of tax benefits for Amazon take place with the city council. Amazon would not likely open a facility in Hawaii due to high cost of living and shipping costs. There are no major business opening up in Hawaii. Now in California, Texas, or other states? Yes for sure.
Condolulu
ОтветитьI live on Oahu. The cost of living is really high. Everything is expensive. It's really far from everywhere. No working Overtime? Many have two jobs. I don't agree with many of things on this video. People are moving to the mainland because of cost of living and high taxes.
Ответитьi was talking to my uber driver who lives in honolulu and he told me that most people work atleast 2 jobs to have food on their table everyday.
ОтветитьThat dreadlocks joke was insane
ОтветитьGreat weather. Nice people. Relaxing atmosphere. Cost of living? Well, supply and demand.
ОтветитьBecause they can afford it. Prices there are eye watering.
ОтветитьThe Big Island generally gets snow every year. I lived there for 12 years.
ОтветитьNot sure why , alot of Government cyberrape..
Ответить
