TV vs Gaming Monitor: Which is BEST for the PS5?

TV's will never beat a monitor for gaming. They're versatile, cheaper, and SOOOO much faster. I don't see why anyone would have a TV for primary gaming

Hey bro just got a question I need to know I have have a ps5 and ps5’s only take 120hz what happens if I get a monitor that has higher then 120hz like 240hz

will the ps5 be able to do 120Hz at 1440p on HDMI 2.0.?

Mine is 4k and 120HZ... The thing is it supports 120Hz only on 1080p.... So keep an eye out for the BS in marketing

The 60hz you pointed too at the back of Tv is not refresh rate. That 60hz is referring to the 120v power source which in America is 60hz

i have a Benq monitor for 10 years( 1080p, 144hz) and I bought a LG Ultragear 27GP80B (1444p, 180hz) and when i look at them both, the Benq looks better and feels smoother ingame. How is this possible? I play most of the time console

Whoever started the rumor that the HDMI cable that comes with the PS5 is not a HDMI 2.1 cable is a moron. It literally says right in the PS5 setup guide to use that cable if your TV has HDMI 2.1 and supports 120fps. And Sony wouldn't include a cable that doesn't allow the PS5 to run at maximum framerate.

Fps vs Pixels... Do you no there are photo cameras that make more than 1000 fps...? That's for movement, not for image quality.

TV! TVs are more powerful and cheaper than a monitor. A 4K 120hz monitor will run you close to a thousand bucks. But a TV with thats bigger with the same specs and more will cost half that price

i tried to use ps5 on my 1080p monitor today. HP ZR2440w to be exact. but i was getting black screen all the time and hdmi was not being detected not sure why, do you know what could be the reason?

Well I’m more of a tv guy. I can’t ever see myself using a monitor. I use my PS5 for streaming services and gaming so a tv is just right for me.

I got oled q led and 2 gaming monitors. I prefer gaming on smaller screen. I can see everything and its more cozy. I like the oled and q led but its only there for when i play movies or game with local people. Monitors are more preferable for gaming for me.
