i think this lens is mid. 24 is not wide enough and 70 is not zoomed in enough. Whatever u want to do imo the 15-55 kit lens can get the job done as just much as the 24-70

You are wrong. Main disadvantage is, that the active stabilization does not work with the Sigma. So when you are filming handheld and move forward is it a restriction compared to Sony lenses. In this situation active mode is clearly better.

The weight and size has been the main issue for me with this lens, my ronin sc can barely handle it. but the quality and sharpness balances it out, plus compared to g master 24-70 price, it might be a better choice in terms of budget.

This video definitely helped my decision. I plan to travel for my photography so to have something versatile in my bag would minimize how many lenses I’d need to take with me. The GM II is quite expensive, but I think this lens would do.
