Landing without tail
I just go for a fast right hand turn landing and keep the altitude minimum
Decending and tilting back helps reduce the spin as you slow down
If timed right you can land as if nothing is even wrong :P

Well I can't land at all, could you make a beginners tutorial?

My favorite place the practice and show off, even before setting up proper keybinds to games i was already good with, was in friends antistasi or KP liberation games.

Find a heli, tell them this is mine, keep resources on hand to replace it, find a medic and adopt him, give him a heli helmet with a neat sticker (see bright pink or yellow HGU/56) and stock the inventory with medical and ammo and J-hook into areas with a downed team member fuck off, then swoop in to pick him up like a bucket of water scoops a fish. Found this series of videos and made flying 'click' better with me. Almost a decade of using the WASD default, ignoring the previous arma 2 experience i got and BF3/4.

Note, j-hooking or flaring into an LZ is also a neat game for your friends on the ground to see if they can pilot snipe you...

I use "space" instead of "x" (easier to hit with thumb) - had it also with BF planes.

I have flown helicopters in arma 3 like 1k hours at this point, I’m just glad I knew most of these :D

The rotor force push the helicopter to the side that spins, so the rear rotor push the helicopter to the oposite side and cancel the force. If you loose it, you can gain speed and at some point the friction with the air will be much stronger than the force of the main rotor pushing to the side, but it will be really unstable to turn and land

I always did the j-hook thing mixed with the spiral landing. I started this thecnique about 4 years ago, and oh, man, everyone thought i was crazy. Now its popular, so its normal to land like this...
Ps: Never try this in advanced flight mode, since it will break the chopper if not carefull.

What I learned in DCS is that you should lower the collective, tilt back, and then go full collective right before you hit the ground.

In my opinion the downward spiral is easier then the J-Hook, I have been flying for a while now, and always do a downward spiral landing, and I have mastered it at this point, but a J-Hook landing? Can't do that at all... Also, you are literally the best ArmA 3 pilot I have ever seen, you are literally not even kidding my idol right now, as I am also trying to improve my piloting skills.
