Since you took the time to clarify that <<it's not really correct to say the wasp "wants">> etc, I am gonna argue against the use of "evolve" in an energetic manner (e.g. "...the wasp has evolved..." etc) as it unintendedly tricks us to subconsciously consider it an active process, rather than the result of reproductive prevalence due to random occurances of diferent characteristics on individual members of a species that it reallly is.

Figs aren't even that tasty. So why bother? If I was about to go for a fruit right now - I'd chose good old apple or an orange - for a fig - 999 times out of 1000. Anyway.
