Q&A with Dan Oberste, President and CEO of BSR Real Estate Investment Trust

BSR Real Estate Investment Trust President and CEO, Dan Oberste, meets with Echelon Capital Markets Real Estate Analyst, David Chrystal, to discuss his company, the US apartment market and his business outlook in a changing macroeconomic environment.

BSR Real Estate Investment Trust owns a portfolio of garden-style apartment properties in US Sunbelt markets, with a significant concentration in Texas. The REIT boasts a portfolio of high-quality newer-generation assets with limited capital requirements, catering to the “renters-by-choice” demographic.

Mr. Oberste has spent the last decade at BSR, serving as Chief Investment Officer before assuming the CEO role in 2022. Prior to joining BSR, he worked as a corporate attorney with Kutak Rock LLP. Mr. Oberste currently chairs the board of the Good Shepard Ecumenical Retirement Center, an affordable senior-living non-profit, and previously served on boards for the University of Arkansas.
