What seems to be a problem occurs to me: I add widgets from my iPhone to my Mac screen and I can't interact with them, only read the content. Is this normal or is there a problem?

That has to be Apple's worst OS update of all time. It looks like a child's toy. I will never downgrade Ventura to that garbage.

Small thing -- but in Photos, People (and pets) are now sorted alphabetically! This annoyed me so much previously.

Window managing in Finder, still very unfriendly. No change at all. Dock is still more stupid than in GNOME Linux.

Just a whole bunch of nothing for the user really. Very minor stuff on the whole.

There’s a new setting in accessibility for changing text size, similar to the text size setting in iOS. It only works for a few apps right now. I tried building one of my apps against the Sonoma SDK but it didn’t show up as being eligible for text size changes.

Yawn yet another useless Mac OS update. I will stick with my late 2015 IMAC with Big Sur. Steve Jobs is rolling in his grave.

Screenshot for many times makes is not working on os Big sur and ventura, hopefully on this sinoma will works well like on mojave and catalina.

In 2025 macos intel cpu will leave the last 2 versions.

Well for me personally I think that macOS Sonoma is a downgrade from macOS Ventura because the features aren't kinda useful for me basically because I don't love interacting with widgets that much. Plus the new lock screen screensaver it feels like eh but other updates are just tweaks and bug fixes and such. But for me overall macOS Sonoma isn't my favourite upgrade operating system but I would stick to macOS Ventura cause it's a fantastic operating system to date. But one thing I can't wait is for macOS 15, iOS 18, iPadOS 18 next year, then that's the time I would upgrade from Ventura I hope.

These OS update are 80% apple stock apps updates.Don't use Facetime or Safari? A major version release is a few new wallpapers and widgets on your desktop.

hi, is there any way to get Sonoma on my unsupported MacBook Pro 2017? Im not very technical so is it possible without much difficulty?

As usual, this update doesn't bring anything significant, at least that's what this review shows. Widgets, some silly visual effects during FaceTime calls, the wallpaper look, are you kidding? I was able to personalize widgets already in Windows XP, that's old, not new. I'm starting to believe that the only reason newer and newer OS are being released so quickly (where the system number change is done before the period, not after as it used to be - e.g. 10.6 to 10.7, etc.) is to catch up with iOS and synchronize the sequence numbers. Mac OS is now only three numbers behind iOS: 14 vs. 17. In two years they should catch up, maybe faster:)

I've had aerial screensavers on mine for years. But it's nice that now it's integrated instead of coming from a third-party.

And lot of these features like voice dictation would not work for most of us in countries where Siri is not supported

So they want release of MacOS when biggest innovations is animated wallpapers. At the same time they cannot code continuity to Apple Music and they deliberately hide old documentation and I cannot find how to even code audio player on Mac anymore
