The following examples helped me better understand the video (and the BANg tool). I thought I'd share it with others who might find it helpful:

Last Year Month-to-Date example: If the current date is August 9, 2023, "Last Year Month-to-Date" would refer to the period from August 1 to August 9 in the year 2022.
Previous Month-to-Date example: if the current date is August 9, 2023, "Previous Month-to-Date" would refer to the period from July 1 to July 9 in the same year.
