I don’t think anyone is obligated to be tipped we are getting paid the tip is extra! I don’t know that’s just me. You guys should be more upset platforms charge the customer up a alley then expects them to tip us. We get less than 50% of the profits and do 100% of the work plus the maintenance of your car

A cash tip is untaxable because there is no record of it otherwise the IRS will tax it as earned income!

I must have spent over $200 in gas driving to the red zones and to witness no orders were popping up as it said it was 5-10 minutes. I have a great rating too

There needs to be a tip cap on orders of a minimum of $6
Gas is $6 per gallon here in California
Instacart also needs to include there and back miles and otherwise us driver's are losing 📉
Red zones are misleading
Instacart is undercutting us driver's with the mileage at 34 cents per gallon and when it should be 75 cents per gallon which includes wear and tear on vehicle.
Im going to start a boycott soon and u can help make it happen. These zero dollar tips is slap in our faces by the customers and straight rude.

A lot of Instacart shoppers after pandemic are insane out of touch with reality! A tip is CONDITIONAL and is never given before services are performed! IF your services were outstanding and you didn’t receive a tip MOVE ON! TF y’all out here wildin like y’all got degrees In delivery driving!🤦🏾😮‍💨🤣

wat a terrible company， they frequently can have some customers live on 4/5/6 floor with no elevator，and they love to order 40 x 1/2 litter bottle water,its so much , its really terrible

Instacarts offer is:
15 miles for $10.56 for 20 units Approximate shopping and driving time is one hour. $10.56 ÷ 15 = .75 cents per mile. Given that Federal mileage reimbursement is .65 cents per mile this reflects: 15 miles at .65 cents =$9.75
$10.56 - $9.75 = .81 cents for time and labor .
You must calculate mileage, fuel, wear and tear on vehicle for doing this job. This is 30 miles round trip.
Department of labor does not calculate mileage reimbursement or tips as part of your wage. 
.81 cents per hour! Let that sink in. Note: Instacart bases what they pay you on what the customer tips.

So far i barely make $100 a day .. this shhh sucks at times

I haven’t see a $10+ tip in over 3 weeks. My area is very bad, I wait at least 90 minutes for a crappy $1-$2 tip batch. And that’s if I’m lucky. I was on for 4 hours on Sunday and only had 1 batch come on my screen, Costco 113 items for $0 tip. I did it, it was either do it or wait in the boiling car. I went from making $200 easy in 2022 on Sundays, to making $10. In my city, they favor the newer drivers
