Can you feel your heart burning? 😁 Can you feel the struggle within? 😜 The fear within me is beyond anything your soul can make. 🥰 You cannot kill me in a way that matters. 🤗❤

My first Charakter actually is a druid. Since we started at level one and only play twice a month, I was introduced to classpowers slowly. To be fair, I already watched DnD but just hadn´t found a group for it.

I’m sorry but this has to be the most boring class… would rather play oath of ancients if I wanted to be in tune with nature.

In Pathfinder 1e (my preferred system), druids are spontaneous casters, so hearing that they are prepared casters in 5e is something new that I did not know was completely different. Honestly I think them being spontaneous casters makes more sense given their connections to nature and propensity to be found in the wild, but that's just me I think.

I have a homebrew druid sub class called Circle of Monsters(still work shopping the came) In essence the druid can wild shape into beast looking monsters. The idea is that even though they go against nature the monsters can/could be integrated into the circle of life and an ecosystem either over time or by force. The subclas is just an idea rn but I'm really trying to make it a real thing for my campaign

I'd like to make a TTRPG based on my stories. Druids are the closest to what I'm going for. That urban subclass! Just brilliant :D

My first ever character for DnD was a circle of the moon warforged druid
Unfortunately his life was short lived as I fell of a cliff during combat

Hey, man. I enjoy your videos! Speaking of evil corporations and Twitter. Consider coming to Mastodon? (If you are not already there). It seems like it (and the whole fediverse) would be right up your alley.

I solved the samey druid problem by having my own druid be fully plant based. Plant wildshapes with a druidic parasite focus growing through her whole body, normally visible only as a delicate pink flower sprouting from her wrist.

Of course, that character was also a dragon, but that was more a joking suggestion I made that got a very unexpected and enthusiastic yes.

That’s a really cool idea for a subclass. I’m soon going to start playing a Druid with Anthropologist background, that sees people and culture as not separate from nature (similar to the ideas of Murray Bookchin and Social Ecology), and this subclass might be perfect for them! If my DM would prefer me stick to the normal options, I’ll probably choose Circle of the Land, as that seems to fit their character best.

Personally I think that your race and class options are not necessarily the most important part of your character. For me, I LOVE playing different things every time, but I’ve only really enjoyed characters that were fleshed out as a person and weren’t just mechanics. But that’s me :)

Druid was my first long term charcter and still my main class that I love to take ... specially moon. tbh only the moon hahahah Havent tried anything else but MOON is sooooo cooool .... even though it scale horribley and GOSH I NEED SPELLCASTING . its very confusing you dont know when to use your prfincy . do you add your attack profincy instead of the beast . so many questoins I struggled with .... so I just did my own thing and asked the DM every campagin if I can play my hombrwe druid LOL :D
did it two tiems so far :D

There is nothing thematic to disliking metal armour for druids. It's stupid. They have no objection to using metal for other stuff, like sickles, and there is no good reason for them to object to metal at all. That would be thematic for the dreams druid, the oath of the ancients paladins or fey wanderer rangers or any of the other fey-themed subclasses of which we have suspiciously many.

I'm using this in my new campaign - basically city states with magically sieged cities, so you live in the city, you're travelling to another city, or your chances of death and maiming are pretty high. I hope you don't mind, I'm going to call it the Circle of Harmony or something of that flavor. Thank you so much for doing these! They're so much fun to play with. 💙

In my experience, druid with wild shape + healing and spellcasting can be Tank, dps and utility. It is overpowered and makes the whole rest of the party kind of useless.

Yes druids are difficult but they also can be played on baby mode with very minimal difficulty just pick a few monsters you like that seem usefull and 3/4th of ur spell list never actually changes. But if you think of something you have the options to change stuff around.

I think it’s fine to play a druid at first as long as you like prep a tiny bit. A druid was my first character (though to be fair I started off as a barbarian because magic scared me), and before I played I thought of a few things I wanted to be that were strong or useful (a cat for stealth and avoiding entrance fees, a dire wolf for speed and pack tactics, a giant spider for climbing and webbing, and a bear because I was already a bear totem Barbarian so I really wanted to be a bear). When I could level up more and choose stronger beasts or water and flying beats, I either went back to the book and looked for a few I liked, or I looked at my notes to recall an interesting beast the DM had us battle. Yes, there were times that I turned into things outside of those initial animals, but it was easier at the beginning of a battle knowing my options

What's the point in playing a game where the world is perfect and doesn't need any fixing. Solar punk sounds neat but also inhuman.

I feel a bit called out with the homemade sourdough.

I made my character the designated cook of the group because of backstory... dammit.

But big thing is, my druid is a tabaxi book nerd fron the jungle. And he is obsessed with animals (and yes
I am a furry)
