What a great video. Thanks.
Ответитьtone 3 wasnt as rich sounding. the rest were much alike, and richer
ОтветитьOutstanding in-depth review! Thank you for your hard work putting this together!
ОтветитьWell done!! I was about to purchase the Xvive for $149. The Sennheiser system is the best in the market hands down, but it needs a quickie wireless set up for one show. I will chose something else now.😅
ОтветитьI am from Brazil. I didn't find any review in Portuguese that offered me as much information as in your videos. Congratulations and thank you very much.
Ответить755 the girl lol
ОтветитьCongratulations for this comprehensive information which I completely agree with
ОтветитьHello. I am totally lost here. I’m an amateur guitarist who only plays at home. I got a tiny speaker that I need to use for both an electro-acoustic guitar and an old electric guitar, and an electric ukelele. I have no idea if they have active or passive pickups. I would like to buy a receiver that is good for both and that is under $100. Do
You think the Getario would be good?
I dont know why im so chuffed with myself that i picked the cabled one correctly.
Ответить2 and 6 cut out.
ОтветитьI got a Getaria based on a recommendation from someone on AGF. I didn't expect it to work, but it works just fine. I was surprised.
ОтветитьGreat review on the wireless systems. I only own the boss one, but all of the information that you've reported on all has really opened my eyes for the next time I purchase one of these again. Very good review and insight.
ОтветитьCool ❤. Mine came DOA out of the box from Amazon 😢
Ответить#6 sucks
ОтветитьWill this work on a digital piano & a wired headphone?
ОтветитьDamn, the cable sounded worse to me.
ОтветитьThank you. Great review.
ОтветитьSo the boss is 2.4 and the most expensive.
ОтветитьDoes the Ammoon fit in a Strat jack?
ОтветитьMy ears chose #4 straight up.Obviously 2 & 6 sucked. 1,3 and five sounded much the same. The cable sounded fuller, more detail - but not so much so that I would reject the wireless. I’ve used a similar wireless system, and it was fine, except that it stopped working suddenly after less than a year. Still, they’re cheap compared to strings over the same period, and the convenience is unbeatable, plus you don’t destroy gear by tripping on cables, which is an ever-present and potentially expensive danger.
ОтветитьWhen I bought the Getaria it seemed robust at first, but the USB connections for recharge are flimsy. Mine where destroyed after a year, without any serious usage.
ОтветитьI’ve used the Xvive U2 the past 4 years and Looking to get another set 🙂
Ответитьi have a Swiff audio wireless system, looks a lot like the Lekato set , might be the same company,
ОтветитьI think #3 sounds the best.
ОтветитьMy favorite is the x-vive system. No problems .
ОтветитьAlso, I use the 5.8G Getaria for practice everyday and I'm extremely satisfied.
ОтветитьThanks, excellent video! I'm onboard!
ОтветитьThank You !!
ОтветитьThanks for excellent review. I just wonder what is the issue with active pickups? IMHO the only difference between passive and active pickup is the low output impedance of active pickups which should not prevent wireless system from working - or am I wrong?
ОтветитьSomething else you didn't mention about the cables is that they darken per foot. This is something that I discovered years ago by accident while I was testing and designing a solid core guitar cable that was very high-end for an audio company. When we played it against a 10-ft guitar cable the guitar cable was darker. When we played it against a 25-ft guitar
ОтветитьYou did not say/show any that work for acoustic guitars. Here is a short answer, (without all the info because we would be here for days). In the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands there are channels.5.0 and soon they are opening 6-8 GHz. 5.0+ has many more channels. Routers and modems can be set to different "channels", to prevent "channel overlapping". So at the 1 venue you play at a tech may have set the WiFi and it is operating on the same channel as your wireless. These are usually designated as A, B, C, D... etc. This is especially done when walking into different rooms so that multiple routers, (or ones next door), don't drop you. Usually they are set 6-8 channels apart for continuity. (retired, Network Pro certified).
ОтветитьThis super helpful. Our church bought two xvive units and have struggled with issues.
ОтветитьAudality makes the best ones and don’t have that ridiculously fragile Jack attached to the unit. No way to hide the appendage on a strat.
ОтветитьI bought a knockoff summina of the ammoon on amazon which was mispriced for $13 it works great
ОтветитьSo these are for sending a signal from the guitar, to the amp? Is there anything that I can plug into my amp's headphone jack to connect to my blutooth headphones?
ОтветитьIve used the xvive a few years ago for a bunch of shows, ended up going back to cables for the simple reason of tone suck
ОтветитьI'm surprised BOSS makes one after all the high-noise pedals they've released. Reputation speaks louder than words...
ОтветитьAs someone looking to purchase this was awesome! New follower now. Nice work dude! You answered a bunch of questions I had. 🤘🏻
Ответить2&6 SPUTTERED, 3&5 WERE GOOD, THE CABLE SOUNDED SLIGHTLY DARKER BUT STILL OK! I PREFER THE BOSS SOUND.
ОтветитьI've had cross talk problems with x-vive. Haven't had any problems with solo units, except when close to a computer. I switch back to a regular wireless. I did find an sometimes use a GETARIA one of these, in UFH if you can believe it. It works fairly good, not much range though.
ОтветитьI also have the Line 6 G10, great unit but you still need a wall socket to plug the reciever/charger unit into. I do take it to gigs as a spare. But my WS 70's do the job I need.
ОтветитьI have two sets of WS 70's, forget what brand they are but they are very good. Anything to stop tripping over guitar or uke cables. Just need to have a battery operated mic, and battery reciever. They are not shown in the table display in this vid, maybe they are in the catalogue displayed in the vid. Will have to check it again.
ОтветитьExcellent review! I have the Sennheiser, the Getaria, and an NUX. They all have been fine for me. I play both acoustic and electric, and usually use the NUX on the electric, and the Getaria on the acoustic. They are just so convenient! I used the Sennheiser for years, never had an issue, but I love the ease of use of these inexpensive systems. And I agree... at that price, just have an extra one standing by...
ОтветитьI was wondering where Mefe went. I got those 5.8ghz ones years ago and they were great. But I was just chucking them in a gig bag and not the box and the transmitter shorted out. Looks like they’re Amoon now (the black ones). Never had interference. Maybe my old Mefe receiver will work them.
ОтветитьExcellent review and suggestions
ОтветитьFor me, it's not about the tone, or the latency, or the drop-outs...I can work with all of that. It's the battery. Rechargeable batteries ...suck. Shit happens, so at some point you're going to forget to recharge...or you're on the road and don't get a chance to fully recharge...or the inevitable is starting to happen and your rechargeable batteries are losing their ability to hold a charge...and eventually it is going to die on stage, probably just before your big solo. What are you going to do? Stop and recharge? You're screwed. It takes less than a minute to change a disposable battery (or even a rechargeable battery that you can remove) and then the show goes on. So that's the deciding factor for me...can I change the batteries on the fly or do I have to recharge? If it's recharge only...it's just not worth the risk.
ОтветитьGreat video, comprehensive, concise, clear. Very well done, thank you.
ОтветитьI bought one of the Lekato sets and have been using it in rehearsals without a (noticeable) problem. Each time I’ve tried at a gig it’s been noisy and I’ve had to revert to cables 😢
ОтветитьI've used the Xvive recently for about 12 shows. So far it's worked out great! I always bring cables just incase but so far so good.
