I hope he withdrew some during the course of his life. I am bummed that I grew up with fools like him. Working hard with almost no rest and saving all earnings only for them to die before enjoying them. Have to unlearn the hate I had for hustle culture because of that experience.

Ronald Read is completely loser. Working as a janitor with 8 million dollars and dying without experiencing things that this money could improve.

Excellent book however, I disagree with part 4. Covid-19 was predicted, as was the 2008 recession. I think the point is that there are too many predictions to know what is true

Getting rich is easy if you understand the little basics involved, and one of the simple basics is getting multiple income streams. I'm rich today because I was involved in different income streams like real estate, stocks, crypto and more.

I've always found the Keeping Up With The Joneses phenomenon kinda weird. I do feel envy of the rich. I'd like that kind of money, and that's one of the things that motivates me. Not to surpass them--to JOIN them. If Bob the Billionaire has a nice yacht, great. Maybe I'll get to be on a yacht someday. Could be a neat experience. But a yacht isn't my style, and I don't need to show off to anybody. (I think you can actually rent a yacht, which would be just fine with me.) I like that Warren Buffett keeps things simple. I have some different tastes from him, but I like the generally low profile life he lives. That's more up my alley.

I just read the book in one afternoon session. Incredibly insightful and well written. This video sums it up nicely, yet I recommend to everyone to still pick up this book and read it, it's definitely worth the time (and money)
