I've been going through this tutorial and I am amazed at all to tips and workflows that are in this. It is two years old at this point and I am wondering if there are any updates to this workflow in H20? Would you do it the same now? Or are there new nodes in H20 that simplify or change this workflow at all? Thanks so much for your great tutorials!

i guess the problem with this approach is that you dont have bones so you cant use existing animation, but on the other hand you have les bones in a rigg.

Hi , thank you for the tutorials , wanted to ask if you know how to modify kinefx viewer state to get selected joints, I need this for matching one transform to another, thank you.

Hey Parker, I am only now getting into this whole kineFX thing and I see how powerful it really is. While your workflow is showcasing how to deal with a face rig, I would like to know how you'd approach dealing with a corrective shape workflow, let's say for a shoulder. I;m guessing it's easy to sculpt a shape for the shoulder for a specific humerus rotation, but then how to take the rotation difference from the neutral and animation to drive the blendshape activation is something I can't seem to work out ... in other words I'm allergic to matrices :D . I've plugged in a loop fbx animation from actorCore and matched rig pose and mapped points, and now I want to correct the poses for some rotations of key deformations like shoulders, wrists, elbows etc. Please let me know if this is some tutorial you can make and sell ... or if it's a simple thing with the matrices information extraction, please let me know how I can resolve it. Love the work you've done!

In view the recent updates is this workflow still applicable? Especially the tweaking of Python scripts?

This is awesome! Really! This has to be one of the best tutorials for facial rigging.I love that you cover how to expose rig pose python states as this has kept me away from fully rigging in kinefx.Congratulations!!!

Thanks Parker, it seems the FBIK eyebrow solver is not working in H19 anymore. Also the Python part of asset setup with promotion of the rigpose controls doesn't work. H19 again I believe

I'm not sure if houdini changed a bunch in 19, but for me, the FBIK eyebrow solver doesn't work anymore.

I really need to deep dive into KineFX. I’ve been using Blender & Auto Rig Pro to set up rigs quickly. My dream workflow is to rig in KineFX and then take it into UE5 and hook up control rig and animate in the engine. Game animations of course things like cinematic shots I’d do in houdini. Thanks for dropping gems my man!
