“Big respect for going back out there” ends video with the most disrespectful wipeout recap😂
Ответитьthe sliding up and staying low comment in the end really changed my popup game
ОтветитьThanks Kale 🤙🏽
ОтветитьYoga is great but should you need to be a yogi to surf? What will be the fallback when you're +60?
"Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world" Archimedes. This statement contains the answer to ever physical challenge.
I have been surfing for 40 years (not very well) and I really enjoy these videos. They are so informative because you are teaching us about the often unspoken nuances of surfing. Very informative so thanks Kale.
ОтветитьThanks for all the tips Kale. My new surfing mantra is Flow, Go, Slow, Low.. Watch for the flow of the wave, look the direction to I want to go, popup slow and stay low..
ОтветитьHey kale, when you were discussing turning... if I want to go right would I want to angle my board a smidge to the right before the wave approaches me and While I am paddling? OR do I keep the board straight and only start turning once I am in the peak of the wave?!
Ответитьquality - amasing to be able to see and listen to your advice to your students. thank you
ОтветитьAnother fantastic video Kale. You have a real gift in understanding the intricates of surfing & another gift in explaining/articulating the finer vital points in enabling efficient maneuvers & subsequent progression.
The WSL should have an award for internet coaching - you’ll get it (Chris Mills would be a close runner-up)! 👍🤙
This was super helpful. Thank you for posting.
ОтветитьReally thankful for these. Really insightful.
ОтветитьYeaaaaaahhhhh thxxxxx super easy to understand very helpful thorough......
Ответитьwhat skateboard do you use?
ОтветитьCan you come to south africa
ОтветитьHey kale when you do surf breakdowns of body mechanics and stuff and when it’s in slow motion could u replay the same clip with your same voice over on it but flip the screen for all of us goofy foot surfers please. Just for the slow motion breakdowns not a flipped screen for the whole video. Plus it will make your videos a little longer.
ОтветитьThat was super informative
ОтветитьKale, great video! Next edit, it would be great to hear some tips about some topics that arent always spoken of: paddling in and out, how not to paddle into someones line, how to bail off the board…what to do when a wave you are paddling on to starts to close in!
ОтветитьCould you add the beaches and point breaks of each video, please?
ОтветитьGood tutorial, loved the description on bottom turns not being a maneuver per se when trying to get into the speed section of the wave (about 6.05 in). Something that I do naturally, but have never heard it broken down like that before. Great lesson for beginners!
ОтветитьWoah insanely informative and helpful video Kale!! I’m gonna have to go ahead and join your Patreon after watching this... incredibly digestible!! Cheers!
ОтветитьSuper helpful vids
ОтветитьCan u do like very good beginner to advanced
ОтветитьAnother great video! These little tips have substantially improved my surfing and awareness of bad habits.
ОтветитьHi kale!
I have been surfing for around 4 years and my paddling and behavior in the sea with the board is pretty good.
But the only missing part
is my pop up.
4 years that I've been struggling with my pop up.
I perform it almost perfectl on land.
But in the water I tend to fall a lot and miss good waves, even though my positioning is great before takeoff , I just mess up everything when I try to pop up!!!
I really need your guidance and help cause it kills my progression😢
I have short Achilles tendons and I think that might be the thing that makes it harder for me.
Thanks for being you! Your content is visual and to the point! Love it 👍
Ответитьgreat content and very helpful 👍
ОтветитьMobility exercises from Nick are really good! I have only started doing them only a few months ago and I can really feel the difference with my take off and paddling 👍 Thanks for sharing Kale!
ОтветитьWill you be doing any schools in Gold Coast? I need help!! :)
ОтветитьCareful Kale, looks like you’ve got some porn star fans 😳😂
Ответитьhey kale! thoughts on the slater designs cymatic? i live in a place without many swells so any other suggestions on birds for waves 1-8 feet
Ответитьhey kale just wondering what board i should be progressing to from a 6 foot softie. love the vids bro keep it up. aroha from nz
Ответитьhow long have these people been surfing on average? i kinda wanna compare to see how fast/slow im progressing
ОтветитьLove it, seeing vids like this help me figure out what I'm doing wrong. Honestly im still struggling with knowing when to pop up, it seems like everytime i paddle into a green wave i just nose dive or pull off because im too scared 😳
Ответитьat what spot are you surfing in the first session of the vid?
ОтветитьLove it!! Totally me in most of these cases lol... signed up for your skate course too :)
ОтветитьI didn't need the beginner stuff but watched anyway to avoid the election news. The yoga dude was really helpful. Thanks kale!
Ответить🔥🔥🔥
ОтветитьHey Kale, glad to see this video! I just switched to a short board(33L so not too high performance) but I struggle with my pop up the most and usually feel like the drop is too steep when I’m about to pop up. Do you think this is in my head or could I possibly be doing something wrong that is putting me at a bad angle? Any tips would help!
ОтветитьThanks! Great information.
ОтветитьMore great tips Kayle! I've been working on getting my confidence back too - staying out of the way on the smaller waves the guys outside don't take. Switching to a shorter (hybrid) board in the steep local waves has helped too & I find I don't feel as rushed popping up. Might remind folks entering the water and paddling out to be aware of surfers taking off on waves. See a lot of people unaware of what's coming at them lately.....
ОтветитьAlways great tips!
ОтветитьSending thanks from Oahu. i love your vids thank you so so so much. without your vids i would still be stuck as a beginner. Ive been watching your vids for the past 9 months and now im getting barreled and carving big waves and small ones so thank you
ОтветитьCan you do a video on finding the right wetsuit for you and your area
ОтветитьNot Kale “Broccoli” anymore?!
