Do God and science contradict each other?

as a muslim i trully agree and respect the points of this video as well as christians .... as in quraan (the book equal to bible in islam) the things you said are in the quraan it self and some sections in quraan says that we have to think and watch our universe to find god ..... as a muslim i grew respecting other christians as my religion told me and i hope cristians start to respect us too.

Wait. You believe in evolution? So Yahweh did not create man the way he is now? Adam was an ape? You don’t make a lot of sense since the Bible says that the earth is disc-shaped with firmament dome above with sun and stars within this firmament. It also says swimming and flying animals came before land animals, the opposite of what evolution theory states.

Scientists usually deal with physics. The subject of God deals with the underlying concepts and abstract principles. The problem with science is: we looked out into space and forgot that WE existed.

I was disappointed and hurt when you called God a liar. God said he created heavens and earth in 7 days which conflicts with 4.5 billions of years. God said he created man and woman in a day then went to the trouble to give us genealogy tracing back to the first Adam and Eve which conflicts with evolution. Are you saying that God is not big enough to do such miracles? By the way that's what a miracle is,
An event that appears inexplicable by the laws of nature and so is held to be supernatural in origin or an act of God. It's a shame that the church buckles under the stress of ridicule from the scientific community. We need to be bold and stand firm. Look at the troubles that is caused by calling parts of the Bible is wrong. If the creation story is wrong then what else is wrong. Agreed that the Bible is not a science book, but let's not call God a liar about the universe in 7 days and creation of man.

Religion, the most illogical stories ever told to back up a organisation built on faith. Religion was of it's time's and should have been left there when it belongs. It has been nothing but trouble for us hundreds of millions have perished in the name of religion.

Fine Tuning; 1. It's taking random chance and fitting that random chance into the existence of life. That's pure supposition and the popular adage " I don' t believe in chance" is a moronic worldview. Countless events happen by random chance. When a driver of a car broadsides you, was there a purpose in that or was it random chance? When a tree falls on your house, was the cause some hidden purpose or was it just chance? People who think there is no random chance in life are just "dense". And only a "few" physicists who have leanings toward the theistic end of the scale would deny that the things that have happened since the "beginning" are because of random chance. So that part of your video is just plain wrong. It doesn't necessarily mattar what a person's "credentials" are if they decide to abandon the scientific method. In order to become and remain a "scientist" one cannot abandon science and the scientific method. To assume there is "designed" purpose to the universe IS the abandonment of science. There is no evidence whatsoever of the universe being created by some disembodied intellect. How would you explain such a disembodied intellect even existing? The Only evidence for the origins of intellect is the brain of living animals. There is no intellect or consciousness without it being confined to some organic brain. The Code; 2. What you're doing is comparing human intellect with the possibilities or the natural order over billions of years. You're isolating one instance of time and comparing human intellect to the nearly infinite possibilities and affinities that exist among the natural order. And you're assuming that just because the universe may have started out as pure hydrogen and helium that via nuclear fusion nothing else could ever develop. Such a conclusion is at best premature from the standpoint we don't yet know all the possibilities that exist for the natural universe. Evolution; 3. You start out with the presupposition there is in fact a creator. So of course creation makes "perfect sense" but it's NOT scientific.. Thousands of years ago it made perfect sense for everyone on the planet to conclude the Sun revolved around the Earth because the Sun moved across the sky every day. And like today, we don't sense the Earth is actually rotating on its own axis at close to 1000 mph. Thanks to "religion" and the catholic church in particular it excommunicated and even tortured people for the heresy that the Earth is not the center of the universe and that the Earth revolved around the Sun. So don't be fooled by appearances. I suspect people have other motives for believing in disembodied spirits and gods... in Christianity there is the false hope that believers don't face the prospect of death. Human ego is a powerful drive and few people want to actually die. Christianity promises followers of resurrection and immortality. Both things that defy physics. So the "truth" is that people believe [whether or not they'll admit it] they fear death and want to live forever in paradise. It may be an appealing thought but in truth no living things live for ever in a material universe. In fact, even the stars themselves are all doomed to die. Immortality is a pipe-dream and belief of such things is in indication an individual lacks the courage to accept the truth of the life they've been given.

If Satan was the king of this world would you expect that all the this science told us is true ?

nothing creates something, something makes nothing, these both are fundamental to each other, I'd wonder how God came to be, is it a fundamental good against a fundamental evil ( Entropy ), if God can truly make all of this happen, does this mean that God creates evil and corrects it, which makes us turn to him, for his Goodness and Holyness creating good humans, and doing so for eternity until Entropy destroys God's progress restarting him back to the start. Some may say that really is a Sisyphus end.

Why does the bible not contain any scientific facts that we can reasonably corroborate to prove that the bible has scientific significance?
what if in one part of the bible it said that in exactly 200 years and for every subsequent 200 years, a huge comet would appear in the sky and show the equations that describe its movements? why did no one in the bible, with their amazing knowledge, mention something about medical science to save lives?

Personally I am religious, kind of, but often I wonder why I believe when there isn't any evidence for the truth of specific religions.

As this video goes over, the "fine tunings" of the universe may prove that there is a creator, but why would he exist in the way that Catholics, Muslims, Hindus, or whoever, describes? I have an easy time believing there is a creator, but whether he cares about our lives, whether there are angels or an afterlife, and so on, are basically unbelievable to me at times.

Are God and Science in agreement? When was the last time you used a cloud as a means of conveyance or walked around on the firmament of Heaven's seventh tier? Only a fool or a liar thinks the Bible and Science belong in the same sentence.

One can never disprove an omnipotent being, for an omnipotent being is compatible with anything and everything. An omnipotent person can do anything and thus they can make it the case that they exist consistent with anything else whatever. Thus, anyone who thinks an omnipotent person can be shown not to exist by this or that discovery about the world is just confused.

This video does have bunch of logical fallacies and seems a bit dishonest so I would suggest that you properly research Evolution theory, And consciousness since you disregard some possibilities or factors completely without exploring them. It also does not make sense that from that entire video the final message seems to be "christian god is correct" which in of itself is a likely incorrect statement since there are a lot of ways, shapes and forms that god could exist in, I would even say an infinite amount so to choose one possibility out of infinite it is beyond astronomically unlikely that this possibility is correct, To be clear: I am not denying the existence of god, I am just saying that christian view of god is extremly likely to be inccorect.

An unknown force, a god maybe, set off the big bang. It did not start for no reason. And it just happened to contain what was needed for life to develop.

Catholic and protestants are both brother and sister in Christ. But if you are believe other things like your own pride, ritual, and putting things above God, you are not putting your life in Jesus. Beleving in the scripture, the bible, and following what bring salvation. Most importantly knowing we are all sinner and repent to Jesus.

Answer to the question title of the video: No, God is above science, all science can do is confirm God's works.

As a muslim, i want to thank you so much for making this video, Science absolutly doesn't contrudict God, truth = truth.

I believe the 30 numbers is what we have discovered, and in reality there's an infinite amount of laws which all together is what religion calls GOD, we have to exist as part of everything, everything has to exist in order for us to exist...it doesn't make sense otherwise...also all life forms appear after the impact of two opposite forces and ultimately all matter is condensed energy, the explosion is the only thing that makes sense for the beginning, hence everything does a have a beginning and an end but just as part of an infinite cycle.

It's important to note that the big bang doesn't state something came from nothing. Everything came from a single dense hot point. So Max Planck's quote is wrong then, except he said that quote in 1918. 9 years before the big bang theory.
