I have a question about cross and straight cable.. Can we transfer files from PC to PC using straight cable? Or we must do with just crossover cable and can't do with straight cable? Please, give me an explanation about it..

note to self and whom ever may need it: counting from the left the 568A is only different from the 568B because the first cable is swapped by the third and the secound is swapped with the sixth thats y i suggest memorising the 568B colour code

Can a straight cable be used to connect a modem to a router since the items are dissimilar or must a crossover cable be used in order to make a modem/router combo?

I'm setting up a home lab and have tried everything you have shown here and I get nothing more them 13 MB speed now my internet speed is 1 gig speed no problem but my transfer speed is 12 to 13 Mbps no matter how I wire my rj45 plug I live in Canada would that make a difference cross over straight but if i buy a 100-foot cable works no problem but if I want to make them nothing works and I have asked over 100 people and they can't tell me what's wrong and why it's working this way I have bought 100 RJ ends and I have about 20 left that's how many time I have cut the ens and reended them and can't get any faster transfer speeds more them 13 Mbps but when I use my one I bought I get 150 Mbps I don't want to buy them I want to make my own to the right size but can not seem to get it working

You can use patch cables to go from switch to switch because modern switches can detect the cables.

Cat 8 only goes 93 feet. Where is 40 GBPS used? In the next 20 years rarely will networks need more than 1 GBPS. Why does it it go from 1 GBPS to 10? Why not 5?

The STP you describe isn't an STP cable but an FTP cable. STP is similar to FTP but FTP only has a fieldprotection around the cable and STP has a fieldprotection around the cable and fieldprotection aroud each pair.
