The graphics on ps2 when I played the game was phenomenal at that time. I don't know what happen now. 😂

Back in the days when RE4 first came out it was already a bomb … enhancing the graphics made my Visions for that game true .. i mean in my imagination it looked all exactly like it does in the remake !

OG game wins for lighting alone. I don't know what is with this trend of making games as dark as possible but I can't see anything. You can praise the new visuals all you want but at least the original game made everything visible.

im playing the GC original for the 1st time in 2023..how it still holds visually, up is a testament to the artists. it looks WAAAY better on a smaller screen of a phone or Switch. GC version enlarged for modern TVs using component cables, is rough. the limitations of the tech is actually distracting. clearly it was meant to be seen on modest CRTs. its not a criticism, but a compliment they were able to get so much out of the tech at the time i played the RE4 demo, and was blown away. will definitely get eventually. i noticed a lot of the nuance of environments, and character movement was inspired by Last of Us. all good stuff..i can really do without the QTE...thats an antiquated mechanic that needs to die ASAP. they were never enjoyable

Currently playing the remake on steam for first time. So far I actually like the original better.

I still perfer the original. NOTHING will top playing this game for the first time.
These remakes just goes to show, that game companies have ran out of ideas.

Bro I wish they added the old design but updated and they’re new design for more enemy types. And they could have their own sound from the original too. So there would be a huge mixup

Instead of playing Resident Evil 4 remake on PC plate on console and try to get an S Plus you computer geeks will not get s+ on the console the most you'll get is an s. And you guys have PC you're the ones cheating because you're speeding up the process to get to the end. That I consider as cheating.😂😂😂😂😂😮😮😮😮😢😢😢😢

Graphics are great, controls feel better and the knife parry ability is cool, but other than that it's a soulless remake/remilk that took away the charm that made the original special and made way too many unnecessary changes. Also, them saying "not cut content, only reworked areas and additional areas" was a total lie. I wish I could refund it but it's too late.

i loved the remake but i'm kinda disappointed that a few of the cool areas and rooms from the castle were cut.

I was surprised with the u3 boss part, first time playing a remake where a whole boss fight was scrapped out. I quickly noticed they cut it out after I beat krasuser and noticed theres no underground area.

I think the laser will come back but its on Ada's DLC. It'll make more sense since Ada is more nimble.

Hands on the wall animations have been around since the PS2 era

I didn't like RE:4 for one reason: Las Plagas. RE was always about zombies. Their moaning & groaning was part & parcel to the RE series. Yes there were mutated monsters & people but the zombies were the main NPC's. With no zombies in RE:4 I refuse to play it. That's all imo.

Hands down original RE4 is in a league of it own man it was released 13 times and has been a hit it made a memorable and terrific days to many me included and the only reason Remake was a hit was because it is still similar and stick to the original if this was designed different like RE3 REMAKE it would have been a disaster.

Og leon was the best of the best. He’s the type of guy you’d go in a bar to have a few drinks with. He’s also cool, and collected and badass at the same time imo he just looks friendly. I also like how og leon exude so much charisma and confidence too.
With the remake, ill get a lot of hate comments but he looks so emotional distant and gloomy, and in some cutscenes i would of thought he was a villain at some points because of how serious they tried to make him with his face. He’s definitely not the guy you’d want to hang with cause he’d probably wouldn’t shut up about his past lmao again no offence.

Btw Paul Mercier did a superb job at voicing leon. He had the perfect calm yet firm tone and just feels so natural to me.

I wouldn't play the original because it was such an ugly game. It totally took me out of it. After 20 years the remake has made it possible for me to not only play this game finally but to finish it as well.

I've beaten OG RE4 20+ times and just wrapped up my 8th playthrough of the remake after getting the platinum. Amazing video!

I think my biggest gripe about the remake are the guns : they feel plasticky, the Red9, almost a magnum sized pistol, feel and sound like an airsoft

i just wanted to see this comparison for see again how good was the original, im playing the remake right now and is just a improved version, and its all what i wanted, the game had a really good base but now is better in a lot of things for me And obviously feel so good aim with mouse , but original still playable even in 2023 its crazy.

playing RE4: re i can say it's upgrade in graphics all over, you will really enjoy it. but it plays differently than any other game re2,re7,re8... it's really weird stepping in and getting used to it.
if you are coming from re2-7 or 8 it will be different experience for sure.

Is there a better game then res4 made in 2005 ? I think not, this game is a legend on it's own, it still holds up very well, I've played many games, but the first res4 is something else, it blows my mind😮

Controversial opinion: the RE4 original doesn’t look that good to me anymore compared to the HUGELY upgraded remake. (But that’s coming from someone who’s only ever played it ONCE through the base game as Leon with only a brief minute or so of Ada’s campaign - and this was JUST BEFORE the remake came out funnily enough)
