ОтветитьWhat harmony. I can picture them on a warm summer night back then....just vocals...and their music drifting though the neighborhood.

ОтветитьI like discovering groups and songs that I never heard of. These forgotten about or under the radar old groups help put me in a state to hear more of the casual music of the time - filler songs if you will, or straight R&B of the day.
ОтветитьSing it Mad Lads. Great song.
ОтветитьOmg...those steps are awesome and the way they stop is so cool!
ОтветитьI love the madlads
ОтветитьIN the 60s, the Mad Lads were one of my favorite groups. I went to al the venues where they performed. Mostly at the Uptown. Once at the Nixon Theater at 52nd Street and Market.
ОтветитьThe most powerful soul group of the mid 60tys. Temptations were at its peak then ..But because of the Giant label Motown they didn't get any air play on the Crossover white major radio! But the Mad Lads were bigger than life in the Deep hoods. All about the Record labels my friends!!!
ОтветитьMan these ese loves the madlads shout out to philly such a soulful voice just pure magic.
ОтветитьSing it now Mad Lads
ОтветитьThe Mad Lads were truly UNSUNG. They got lost in the shadows of the Stylistics and the Delfonics. But these guns could run with the big boys if only they were given the chance. One of my favorite old school groups, The Mad Lads.
ОтветитьMan, the lead vocals and the harmony!
ОтветитьThe Mad Lads were a great gift to a lost era of authentic heartfelt music that has become quite rare today. 🙏💜💜💜🙏
ОтветитьSounds for all generation to generation brilliant song in stereo speakers to listen to capitalise to a song between two.
ОтветитьThe movements ...... geezzzzz
ОтветитьLove the way the lead singer blends the words "dad and had", these boys are badd! Best music of all times.
ОтветитьJust the best I love The Mad Lady ( So Nice coming home to you with cakes and pies ) what a beautiful songs I still play this song today at the young old age of 73 Old School Music😊
Ответитьwow how smooth is this. this lady love this
ОтветитьClass act!! Great doo-wop harmony and deep groove soul!
ОтветитьGo Brothers! Superb!!! Rip Mr. Williams
ОтветитьThese videotapes are so important! They record unique talent that is once in a lifetime. I'm so grateful that I lived through this era to be a fan of the Mad Lads. Thank you HiLit, whose show I used to listen to as a teenager. The '60s and '70s were the best!
ОтветитьA totally unique sound! I remember them from the mid-1960s. No wasted words. Intense start to finish. Love this group and their songs.
ОтветитьMemphis, Tennessee guys who were/are loved big time in Philadelphia!
ОтветитьLyrics
I want a girl
Just like the girl that married my Dad
Just like the girl that married my Dad
She don't have to be the world
She just gotta be my girl
She don't have to be the world
She just gotta be my sweet little girl
She don't have to be a world of thought
But she's gotta be, gotta be just like my Mom
And I want a love
Just like the love that my momma gave
Just like the love that my momma gave
She don't have to be no queen
Just let her love me
She gotta be just like my Mom
Oh, she's gotta be.
ultra smooth..............
ОтветитьMy favorite song by the Mad lads farmers of listening to them in the summer of 1966
ОтветитьHell to the Yes!!!! This is a Great/Lost resurrection for me... (SMOOTH)
ОтветитьMy brother Danny Rodriguez rip. He always played this.
ОтветитьYes we adopted them because we added the title "Tennessee" to their name out of respect. They did receive so much air play and their live shows from the "Uptown" were so popular. Too bad I missed them.
ОтветитьSang this on street corner in the ‘60’s😎
ОтветитьWhat a song eyy!! Str8 memories 🙏
ОтветитьBAD ass Group Love Em
