Blender 3D - Create Grass in Blender in 2 minutes | Beginner Tutorial

2 things to make it a little better but it's still easy; replace the color with an image texture (you can enable "images as planes" to make this super simple)... the particles will pick up the color of whatever pixels they're over on the texture. Seriously take a flat picture of your grass for this texture or download any grass texture.

2nd tip; subdivide the plane a bit and add some topology... I usually pick 4-5 random vertices on the plane, and turn on proportional editing "random" setting and use "G-Z", then scroll my mouse 'til the selection circle is over the entire plane. This quickly adds some random topology to your plane.

now I don't even have to touch real grass: i can just make my own!

Blender just reworked their hair simulation with blender 3.3... In my opinion it looks better now for grass although it looks more like squiggly hair than grass.

doesn't work in unity - when i save as obj and place it in unity only a gray plate appears with no hair, can somebody help me fix this?

Great tutorial but i gotta ask, my grass was under my ground mesh... so is there a way to select all the faces where the grass will be?
