The 155mm howitzer shown in this video is what we in the Marine Corps called the "Pig". But they did not have a muzzle brakes on them. They were a pain in the ass to setup due to the very heavy square plate used to support the howitzer when the wheels were lifted into the firing position..

What's the model of the howitzer demoed here, it's not an L118/M119 or a GIAT LG1.

I don't agree with argument that "most howitzers are towed". Here in Europe are a lot of self-propelled, included my country which don't have towed ones. PZH2000 have a long barrel and it's not a gun type. Next time do more work before pushing video into web please :)

You have taken great pains to make this excellent video but committed a common error by embedding a continuous great of drums and music that drowns out the narration making it difficult to hear the words and also to prematurely close the video to escape the painful background noise. But thanks anyway.
