Nice review, as usual.
Nice to see that Titleist was able to get incremental gains in all aspects compared to the TSR, but it will be also interesting to see how significant are the gains when you compare the GT to the older generations like the TS or the 917 series.
At the end of the day, most of the golfers are not replacing their drived every one or two years, but more likely every 4 or 5.
Are you planning to make also such comparisons ?

Great video yet again! I can't wait for the tsr2 vs. gt2 fairway comparison! Thinking that might be the better upgrade this year.

Great comparison. Would love to see a comparison showing the improvements between the 910-917 and early TS series versus the new GT. Same for other brands. I feel most people looking to upgrade would be coming from drivers 5-10 years old

Seems like most of your toe shots were low. How was the spin on the high toe shots? It seems like some have had problems with the low spin/high toe miss with the TSR2. I’m curious whether the GT2 has a similar problem or if they fixed it. I liked the in depth video. It was helpful. Thanks!

It seems like all of the drivers are the same except the TSR3 and the GT3 with the GT3 being a rather big step up in performance.

Edit: just saw your summary and it seems ive been wrong. Thiught you were going to say theyre pretty close

Great content as always mate! What do u think of the actual moi measurements of both GT’s being lower than the tsr’s? Saw it on another channel. I know moi isn’t everything, but I was shocked.

I really enjoy this channel but ngl, this is the first time I've felt like I was being sold a used car. I've been a Titleist guy forever & play both the TSR2 & 3 and just tested both the GT2 & GT3.
You hit the TSR2 lower on both the toe & heel & also hit it closer to the heel. I also have a launch monitor & granted how impressive your ability to hit both the toe & heel is, the efficency on TSR2 was impacted more severely. You know that & yet continued to suggest otherwise. Maybe it was an oversight but you appear to be a damn good fitter so... Anyways, my testing showed a fraction more club speed for GT, (as you mentioned, aerodynamics) efficency was a push & the GT was a fraction more suseptible to a left miss but fought it off pretty well. Hopefully no hard feelings, just felt like it needed to said. Cheers

The face looks great. Whilst I appreciate the lower swing, I think head to head new v old should be based on what you can get out of them. The slower swing should be reserved for new v new on newer clubs…clearly just my humble opinion 🤷🏼‍♂️ Regardless, another great delivery 👏🏻

Another excellent comparison review, while I do appreciate that there is considerable variation in swing speeds between golfers, I much prefer when you swing the clubs at your normal full speed as these tests provide more accurate results of performance, ideally it would be better to have slower swing speed golfers to test clubs swinging at their own normal speeds.

Seems like the strike on the GT veered more low. I think this is because of the higher headlight making the shaft play effectively softer thus causing more upward flection before impact = lower strike. Higher swing weight could also explain the right miss.

Excellent video. Happy to be wrong about this, but that shaft was just not for you. Understand it's tough for you to swing slowly, but it seems like the variation was pretty wild. Gotta be the shaft, right?

Well done, mate. Another banger!

This is the most in-depth comparison of the TSR2 and GT2 drivers that I have seen! I really appreciate the fact that you did the lower swing speed to start the test, and then concluded with your normal swing speed, which allowed for a very fair test with similar results. I currently game the TSR2, and it is the best driver that I have owned. I used to game the TaylorMade drivers, starting with the M2 and M3, and have tested their newer models, but could never get along with them. I like the classic look of the Titleist drivers, but due to the marginal gains of the GT2 over the TSR2, I will continue to keep my TSR2 in the bag for the next couple of years.

I went from a TSR2 10* setting C3 to a GT3 setting A4. The TSR2 has a 40g Helium Nanocore A flex shaft @ 46”. The GT3 worked best with a Helium Nanocore 40g R flex shaft at 45.5”. What I saw was about a 2mph increase in clubhead speed with the GT3 and 4-6 yards more distance. I did try the A flex shaft in the GT3, but I had a tendency to leave the face open and hit a high push fade. That was also my miss with that shaft with the TSR2. I did hit 2 of my longest drives ever on the 2nd and 8th holes with the GT3. 238 yards on the 8th. For reference, I am 71 and have an ~85 mph swing speed.

I appreciate the effort put into these video tests. It is interesting to see the incremental increases in speed and forgiveness in the new offerings. I can see why average players with a TSR in the bag may be justified in saying the changes are not worth the expense of getting a new GT. But, since I do not have a TSR, I would definitely raid the piggy bank for anew GT2. Especially as it compares so well against the Ping 10k
