His ability cannot defeat Mayuri, lethality is one of Mayuri's immunity. There's no way he can poison or make Mayuri lethal. Same way with Unohana who heals.

Funny enough, Mayuri would probably be the best option to take on askin.

I love how the dialogue foreshadows Askin's shrift, The Death Dealing, it would take too many different poisons to kill Mayuri and him using fatal in describing the Soul Societies position as he can alter lethal or fatal dosage (probably over analyzing tho)

"It'll take too much time" is such a good foreshadowing considering Askin in average makes his "immunity" in more or less a minute and knowing Mayuri, he for sure got a cabinet full of "vials" he can try with Askin. Meaning that Askin won't have enought time to concoct an antidote for all of it in just short amount of time.

Remember that if Mayuri comes late, HE IS ALWAYS PREPARED ( Uryu, Syazellaporro, Giselle ) so yeah, i believe he has done analyzing askin there too.

It's funny how, although it would take a while, Askin could still easily beat Mayuri. Mayuri only survived this invasion because Askin is lazy and overly cautious.

I find it pretty interesting that Askin is the only elite who isn't in need to be revive
