It's actually sad that when you do the right thing and give the tickets back you can't get a good ending. But
when you do the wrong thing and take the tickets you can get a good ending. I personally like to think
that the familys parents/in-laws give them money to get new tickets. If I think about it that way then I don't feel that guilty.

I don't like that there's choices that are so bad (without clear indication) that they instantly ruin your run without even skill checks to salvage the situation

For me, it just feels better if Kara, Alice and Luther gets captured and taken to the camp to be rescued by Markus' revolution.

They could stay in Detroit and embrace being androids rather than go to Canada to keep pretending to be humans.

When I was at this part, I just didn't have it in me to steal the tickets from the family.

I do feel like Luther is weak as markus or Connor would've easily beaten 2 security guards
hell markus can defeat like 3 or 4 police guards on his own

My first ever ending was accidentally killing Markus, north leading a violent protest, Kara sacrificing Jerry and her Luther and Alice get safely across the border, and Connor becomes ra9, a deviant and leads the last living androids after all the the androids including north die and Amanda taking over Connors body, leading to me having to make Connor commit suicide, worst ending :(

I know I might be considered a terrible person but I stole the tickets first play-through. I managed to get Luther,Kara and Alice in Canada. Then on my second play-through I’ve decided to let them keep their tickets,spoiler alert but Luther will never make it in the boat ending no matter what you do. Yes I was crying about an hour for Luther so I replayed the game to steal the tickets again :> Oh,also the mother was in the group of people who attacked Markus on the way home after he picking up Carls art supplies so yup. DESERVED

... you know... I just realise that I fucked my self the moment I took the gun in the beginning...

I redid that whole chapter cause i was being nice and gave the ticket back then my boy luther got killed and i had to go back and steal it😭

If you unlock the context you can actually get smuggled to the other side and return the tickets too. It requires you to look around more but if you get it, everyone may live. Luther still has a chance to die however as he may be too heavy for the boat, and may end up sacrificing himself to finish pushing it to the other side and eventually dying because his components freeze.

My biggest mistake on my first run, was handing the tickets back bc i felt bad for that people... I ended up regreting it lol.
