Is DayZ Worth it in 2025?

checking this after eft has gone to sh!t ...... friends have recommended the game, and still not quite sure tbh if I should invest the time in it or wait for something new

The inventory nav totally ruins the game. Its so hard to manage on a PS4. This is a PC game and the conversion is bad. Real shame as great concept and idea. If I had a PC yeah worth it.

the problem with dayz for me is its too lonely , and maybe too hardcore that you cant have fun, like should be way more players, better zombies (maybe fast zombies as well?), and less hardcore, idk

Short answer: maybe. Long answer DayZ is becoming a victim of its own success being the typical full loot hardcore survival game that has been on the market for a long time. Graphics and servers could, and should, be much better than what they are but the biggest issue is the rift between very experienced players and newbies which, in my opinion, limits the influx on new players.
Dayz community should be much better for its own sake as there is no point in seal-clubbing the so called "noobs" for the 30 seconds trill, when the so called "pros" will end roaming empty servers as in other deserted online games. More support and levelling the ground is badly needed or Dayz will follow games like New World, WoT, Bless, Scum, etc. BtW of course cheating is a problem, even if in all my time on the servers I only found 2 confirmed cheaters, considering the very nature of this game, the damage is devastating and can put ppl off playing the gaame forever.

I wanna play Dayz since 2016, but now I have a good pc to play it and now I'm still deciding if I'm going to buy Dayz. When I saw the price...It's kinda pricy for me.

Dayz is the best game i have ever played😅 so much to do, first i played official server and i refunded the game😅 then i bought it back and went to kryptic, now i have played 1k hours at kryptic. First as a duo w friend and now with 1 of the best groups in the server who has helped us out in the early days when i got to the server🎉

How is the cheating? Trying to escape them atm, but I fear its a gaming wide issue

If your buying on console dont even bother because itll just constantly crash or your be killed by people using glitches honestly ever saying its worth buying are on large amounts of copium. Honestly the only good part about this game is the community but without the game is boring af and just waste of time

If you buy dayz on pc I recommend the dayone servers and the Dayz underground organic rp server, I’m not connected to them in any way but they, in my opinion, give the best experience and they both walk the line between full on pvp and RP, you can KOS but the communities on those servers are a lot better when it comes to getting into character and trying to dive into what it would be like

The best alternative to this game is actual life. There is all of this and much more if you look hard enough, and 10's of thousands of hours equates to years of wasting away in your moms basement and dying a slow, sad, and lonely existence. 🙏

Is it better than Vigor?

I have over 6,000 hrs on console I would really like to see something big for us in 2025 the map was cool. But we need more man most of us bought this game because of watching modded dayz. With storage and build mods we want the same experience that drew us to the game it’s growing old at this point supporting and waiting on the devs to finish the job

Just a heads up, this video borrows heavily from last year's when speaking about the base game. Specifically, the things that haven't changed. However, this video now includes all the new things added to DayZ making the video relevant to 2024 as well as additional clips. So it's an UPDATED video, not an entirely NEW video.

I did announce this before I released the video but I understand it's now 2 months later so it might confuse some people who watch the 2023 version and notice the reused footage.
