Love Hoost. You can tell he’s a great guy
ОтветитьIm afraid of him , just watching
ОтветитьAlmost kickers forget their guard when they attack. Their arms come down automatically when they kick.
ОтветитьBitch i'd be terrified to kick Hoost too. And I ain't even afraid of too many people lol.
ОтветитьIt’s actually down to flexibility. The round kick to the head legend is Peter Aerts, and if you watch his highlights, he doesn’t need to do this. In fact many do not need to do this. You shift your shoulder weight in the same direction and the hips that follow you can keep your hands up on the defensive posture while throwing a powerful round house kick. People throw their hand back in order to counter balance and remain upright better.
Ответитьbro actin like he some kickboxing world champion and basically the dutch kickboxing goat or something lmao
ОтветитьLearned that tip in sanda recently. You cross hand to cover the lowered arm when kicking and cover chin with shoulder
ОтветитьErnesto a legend put up with Bob sapps nonsense that one time
ОтветитьI've learned a lot since watching Ernesto, especially about kicking.
Ответить"When i kick i kick like this!" Kicks exactly as hard as the other guy
ОтветитьNo more calling it Dutch kickboxing it's karate from Japan witi ifluences from Thailand
ОтветитьHe is trying to be respectful
ОтветитьSo many people commenting about losing your guard and Dutch style this and that….Hoost is one of the best Dutch low kickers ever (together with Rob Kaman). Most Dutch fighters from that era swing their arm like that. I learned it that way as well as Dutchy. Maybe the new generation learns it differently, but to hold both hands up during a kick is just strange for me. As mentioned by other you defend with your other hand/arm and or shoulder. I mean when you punch you are also vulnerable, since you cannot hold both hands up clearly…you block with your shoulder and it is part of the game!
ОтветитьI never drop my hand i always place my hand in my opponens face and gemerate all the power from my hip
ОтветитьThe power of that kick comes from rotation of the hips and foot combined with foot placement. I love Ernesto. Guy is a beast. Swinging the arm does not rotate the body. That'd be explosive movement through the hips and feet.
ОтветитьBEING KIND IS TO LEAVE A STRING OF PEARLS AROUND MY GIRL FRIENDS NECK MOST NIGHTS.!! 😜😋
ОтветитьIT'S A REALLY BAD HABIT TO KICK THE BALLS OF THE RABBIT.! 🐇🐁🐈⬛🐰😭🙂🙃🫣😀😁🤣🫣🐒💨💩🙊
ОтветитьHe'll probably force me to block with my liver and head...
ОтветитьI've heard professionals disagree on this for years but I don't think I've ever seen a fighter who always keeps their hands up, it's just not practical when you're trying blast someone with that shin.
My own coach would tell us to keep our hands up.
Kickboxing copy muay thai??
ОтветитьThis is natural in tkd
ОтветитьMuay Thai 101
ОтветитьAh yes the thai kick
ОтветитьI love Ernesto Hoost!
ОтветитьThai boxing side kick…… great kick-boxing move 😂
ОтветитьYup legend
ОтветитьErnesto is wrong in that technique
Ответитьsorry not to been there!...I would have annihilated that black!, just i have done many times!!!...
ОтветитьEveryone would be afraid 😅
Ответитьif muay thai was easy it be called dutch kickboxing
ОтветитьHe don’t know what he’s saying dude😊
ОтветитьI had to learn this bc boxing say no
ОтветитьUntil you get countered and knocked TF out … there’s truth behind this but risk also
ОтветитьWho in their right mind would even think about kicking Ernesto with power bc you’re most likely going to sleep
💥🥊
O shit Thats the dad from a girl I was in a class with in highschool 😂
ОтветитьFacts
Ответитьkeeping a high guard until ur sure of ur abilities and reaction time is the best way but once u reach that point then u can sacrifice a little defense for extra power, also the way ernesto throws that arm back it acts as a counter balance of sorts so ur more upright and keep ur balance better
ОтветитьMy dad taught me just like dis.
ОтветитьHe forgot to mention that he’s bringi the other hand to defend the jaw, which he did both of the times during demonstration…
ОтветитьYes
ОтветитьI love it he's not saying hit hard. He's saying hit smart.
ОтветитьYes and No… fighters know how and why.
ОтветитьCommon sense
ОтветитьA perfectly timed left will make you raise that hand.
ОтветитьSmh. False.
ОтветитьNah this is very wrong. Don't drop ur hand.. if u move it, move it the direction you're kicking. You loose power and rotation if u drop it. Trun ur shoulder into the kick.
ОтветитьPretty sure anyone who walks into a striking gym figures this out on day 1, if not, I'd start asking some real questions about their gym's validity
ОтветитьI am kicking like that with pure instinct. It feels better. And actually it’s more effective, nice.
ОтветитьIf Mr. Perfect asked me to kick him idk how that would end up for me…
ОтветитьSo in muay thai we do this. But it’s not the reason you’re kicking harder. And we dont always throw it down. But the point is for you to rotate your right shoulder so that you generate more force. Which he is not doing in the video. Because rotating your shoulder would help you rotate your hip more generating more force.
