So I’ve just bought a gaming and I love it so far. I am shocked though that you have to buy an adapter for your headset and mic to work.

This video didnt help. I have a splitter, but i can't just plug in and start playing with mic and audio working.

There's "settings" (idk what is called, I'm technically illiterate) that pop up and after much trial and error, i still can't get both to work.

can someone plz help bruh I PLUGGED the green in the headphone and the pink for mic and it doesnt even show headset it shows up as speakers and there is no option for a mic

I have a headset with a single 3.5mm 3 prong plug and an included splitter. The headset works fine on my laptop's single plug but when I use the splitter on my desktop PC my mic is suddenly picking up sound at seemingly half the volume. I had to artificially increase the db of sound on my recording software which adds background static that I didn't have to deal with on my laptop. I spent a few hours researching fixes but couldn't find anything :(

The male component, which you were referring to as a plug, is called a jack. The link is not to the adapter you used which has one jack and two plugs. The link is to an adapter that has one plug and two jacks.

Okay so I'm having an issue. I have the right Y cable, but my microphone doesn't work unless I plug the red in the green and green in the red, but then I can't hear. Does anyone else know what's happening or how to fix it or I'm I alone in this situation?

Hmm, my mic does include a splitter. But i can only hear audio from my right ear. Mic works fine. This is Vmoda BoomPro + regular headset.

Can we use headphone + mic using this splitter?
