It's a great video, but I watch her face. If she's less than 45 either there is something wrong with these advices, or there is big factor played by genetics about which we cannot do anything.

Telling people to stop stressing or sleep mroe is such a privledged woman thing to do. This is not an option in the real world and the collagen when I tried it once STILL MADE A VISIBLE DIFFERNECE. Don't listen to her fucking fight for your chance at a life. All the jobs are already gone it's already too late at 3am!

I don't think you deserve a job if you dare say that.

I’m quite disappointed a “board certified dermatologist” could barely scratch the surface of the collagen problem here.
First of all, it is not just damage to the collagen sunlight deals, it is also damage to the fibroblasts.
So not only will our goal biotissue be destroyed, but the fibroblasts will also no lomger produce the same quality or quantity of collagen as well. The basic principle behind stimulating animals produce a specific biotissue is to carefully monitor and care for its production equipment.

Simply using a bunch of retinoids and stabbing your face with needles will just overwork your already damaged fibroblasts, possibly damaging them further in the long run. Direct stimulation of cells to produce a certain material should only be done after the cells themselves are repaired and ready to work.

So firstly:
We must determine the state of our fibroblasts and the quantity of our fibroblast and focus on preparing ourself for the stimulation (which you mentioned of Retinoids and etc)

How can this be done?
Idk. But what we can do is prevent further damage.
Firstly: prevent Oxidative stress.

Dr. Dray, I always love your videos. I have osteoporosis and would like to take a collagen supplement. Are all collagen supplements created equally?? There are a few different ones and some for helping with wrinkles as well, which would be an added bonus. What would you suggest would be the best for both?? Thank you.

People with severe insomnia can't "focus on getting good quality sleep." If you can't sleep go to the doctor. Insomnia is very difficult to treat and often has many underlying medical causes such as hyperthyroidism, high cortisol, or perimenopause.

I am a 58 yo, living in Australia. I take collagen, zinc, vit C. I starting taking this a year ago. The difference in my skin and muscles , joints are unbelievable. Particularly on the thin skin on my hands . Huge difference in my joints, skin hair and nails . I take a good quality bovine collagen. Of course I use 50+ sunscreen, I am a outdoor person in Australia. I think if you are young under 30 you probably don’t need the supplement. 🐨🥰🌸

Agree don’t bake, but sun is important !!! Nothing beats natural vitamin d. It’s the length of time in harsh sun, not the sun itself!!!!!!!!! This actually helps to beat skin cancer!! Think dosage, don’t demonise the sun. Wrinkles won’t kill you like cancer can.

Hello Dr. Dray,

I’ve a lot of doubts about infrared radiation and blue light. You say here that they disrupt collagen production, however you said on another video about the led masks that there’s actually studies that they were said to improve aging signs. Now I’m not quite sure if I should buy one , since most of them provide infrared radiation and blue light (even though I’ll mainly use the red light for anti-aging properties)
It is another type of radiation? Are led masks actually bad for the skin?

Many thanks for your videoss! They ara amazing!!!

I wish whenever “smoking” is brought up there was more specification/information on smoking cigarettes versus Marijuana. I guess it’s just an assumption they’re always talking about cigarettes, but as an early glaucoma patient I feel like that specification would be useful

Hi Dr. Dray and thanks for your informative videos. I have a question about spf (to anyone here, who knows). I use spf a lot and I have my problems with that oily sheen afterwards. I am aware that there are matt spfs, but those are just too expensive for me. Mostly after applying the produkt I wait for it to absorb for 5-10 min max and than just dap carefully the leftover-oil from the skin with a paper handkerchief. The question - does is minimize the spf protection? Any other ways to help? Would be grateful for an answer.

By the way to get healthy sleep? you need to get at least 30 min of blue light every day around noon time. Also, estrogen may be harmful for the breadt canser risk or treatment reasons.
