Di2 should come with this module

I'm installing Ultegra Di2 on a bike. I am installing a Shimano chain using Shimano length method. Before I cut the chain I double checked the big/big small/small combinations and I wound up with a very loose chain in the small/small combo. If I was to shorten the chain juuuust enough to give it tension, that makes the chain way too tight in the big/big combo. The fix for this would to simply not use the smallest cog in the back when on the small chainring. Apparently you can't customize the Ultegra Di2 to do this. I did some research and found this statement: "Note that Gear Position Control is not enabled on 12-speed Ultegra/105 derailleurs. If you're on 12-speed Ultegra/105, you can shift into the smallest cassette cogs when you're in the small ring. There is no way to change this setting." Any input on this would be greatly appreciated!

can we use the extra buttons on the levers to configure as + & - for the motor speed in case of an ebike? just like we use them for a head unit? is that possible ?? @GCN_Tech

Everything I can find online says this is only compatible with the DN110 battery, but with is it still compatible with the new dn300 batteries?

E Tube won't even connect to Google Pixel 6 Android 13. Rubbish. Connects fine with my Garmin 530 but no chance with the phone...

Just letting people know that if you have the new Dura Ace/Ultegra/105 di2 versions then you don’t need to Bluetooth module - the rear mech has it built in 👍🏾

Just bought a Di2 equipped bike. Great video! So...you can't have the buttons on top of the levers changing gear AND showing the gear position on the Wahoo at the same time? It's just one or the other? What about the hold feature? - can you have gear changing with a click and hold to zoom in and out of your map?? TIA

How long will the battery last? Will it last six hours, throughout a Century ride?

If your app crashes or something goes wrong during firmware update and your system becomes unresponsive, don’t panic, just individually disconnect every di2 component from the battery and plug back in. This app can be a nightmare. Proceed with care.

Was able to install the wireless unit, pair and connect with the e-tube app on an iphone xr, then did the updates one by one starting with the wireless unit as recommended. Held my breath as each firmware update downloaded and installed, then disconnected and reinstalled the seat tube. Was then able to reconnect with the bike, adjusted the shifting and customized the top buttons to operate the Wahoo head unit. Fortunately, no dropped connections at any point and the disconnect was effective and returned the bike to normal operation. Pairing with the Wahoo was also successful on the first attempt. Instead of a separate page on the Wahoo for the gear indicator, it can be included as a data field on the main screen (although you may have to discard one to make room.) Another tip: if you have created an account with Shimano for the e-tube app, you may have also created a passcode for that account. It is that passcode that needs to be entered when first paring the wireless unit to your phone, at least that worked for me.

This will come in handy once Shimano release the Claris Di2.

I like the title is called hacks and the first 2/3’s of the video is the most basic installed over explained…then he skims through a bunch of features but doesn’t show how to do it in the app, then goes to the wahoo

I would seriously advise against updating the Bluetooth module with the app. If it fails, which it did with mine, it bricks the system. Visit to LBS required.

The phone app just su"ks. The windows bad is just bad, not terrible.

Before disconnecting the cable from the battery attacha clothes peg to the cable it stops it falling into the tube.

would be cool if the gear control could communicate with the cadence sensor and you could put it into an auto mode. Like "shift as required to keep my cadence at 88rpm" or whatever

and you still have one more function on the top buttons. press 2 times the button. in my case with a Garmin 830 i use it to go back on the pages

What would be cool is I have a tt bike with D/A Di2 with just single buttons on brake hoods and aero extensions.
Which means that only synchro shifting works which is fine left side to shift to a easier gear and the right to a harder gear .
This would be the cool bit if like sram you could press a left and right button together and shift the front derailleur .

Not every one needs to spend 20 quid on a 6 inch cable, I've got a cannondale supersix and inside the save stem is a jc 200 connector which looks just like the Bluetooth unit. I'm quite sure the Bluetooth unit will fit in place of the connector. I bet the there are more bikes with integrated cables are the same
