How do you find the doc without helping the musician or wolfman?
ОтветитьThis is my theory about the what the serum I believe that God will actually stealing the powers of the creature Supreme months we are not getting his lesson for your stealing it
Ответитьshoutout to survival² horror game developers, gotta be one of my favorite genders
ОтветитьRain World!!
It's not a horror game. But it feels like one. It's an unforgiving ecosystem and it forces you to play as an animal at the bottom of it.
Many of the points you made in this video made me think of my experience playing rain world.
hope your writing got better since this jesus
ОтветитьAlso I tried everything to get them lock boxes open at the wolf camp. Cant figure it out. I asked Google and they said something about game files. I play on a xbox so I dont think I can get into the game files.
Ответитьscarcity skehr · suh · tee not skare · se · tee.
ОтветитьI think Dead Frontier (especially the 2d era) would be a better comparison
Ответить"The woods wants to devour you"
ОтветитьThat feeling of not being scared and overcoming fears is like subnautica. I remember staring into the mushroom forest past the kelp forest for the first time and nearly quitting just to end up killing a reaper in a prawn suit just to wrap up my first playthrough. Its a great feeling.
Ответитьjust finished this game recently. man this is the rare gem ever discovered in gaming history. the slow burn suspense, the thrill to survive and explore, and the rich story filled with moral questions of our choices leave darkwood one of the most memorable title ive ever played. several times, in the middle of this game, i just want throw and give up. the frustrating and depressive feeling is unbareable. took me for weeks to fill my heart with an ironclad determination that i should back to the forest and finish what ive started. if you ask me, this is the same feeling that i ever had when completing silent hill 2. i cant strongly enough suggesting everyone out there to try this game for once.
ОтветитьI wish I could play this game for the first time again, after many, many plays I have the biggest issue one can have with a procedurally generated game, I can speedrun run with how well I know it's generation, but that first time I played, it was probably the first time I felt fear (real fear, not one you feel when you get jumpscared or anticipate a jumpscare) while playing a game in years.
Ответитьyou call it a masterpiece but its actually very boring. I played the whole thing and my god it was dog shite
Ответитьunforgiving game that will literally F you up the first time you play, yeah play that one on permadeath on the first playthrough kekw
ОтветитьThere’s allota subtleties to the game that really make me appreciate and enjoy it so far, got through day 2 without dying but i know death is just around the corner, but the mechanics and desire to see the end will bring me back
ОтветитьWatched the entire video. Very interesting.
ОтветитьLove the 🎶🎶 choice
ОтветитьI love you voice my friend
ОтветитьI did what you asked. Did not continue to watch the video, bought darkwood, played on nightmare, died on day 2 because of dog. I couldn't find a weapon during my "life". I couldn't kill the dog and I couldn't run away. I wasn't scared I was kinda annoyed. I am ok with dying because I am stupid or unskilled. But I need a certain set of tools or at least a stick to give me the illusion I can defend myself. This way, I just didn't care that much because it was clear I am going to die.
Ответитьim only 22 mins in, might change thoughts after finishing the video, but the dog choice does seem clear cut in terms of morality. it doesnt make me hate the doctor whatsoever.
ОтветитьWhat r u fighting? Zombies? Wendigos?
ОтветитьTo this days I remember those night full of mine terror and paranoia when even squeaking floor made me get ready mine axe or pistol. Then slowly when night becoming more and more of a nightmare because of savages, wolf and paranolmal events... it comes mine salvacion. The Morning... That was the moment when I was felling so much relief that I just stoped for half a minute just to calm down thinking "Its over... not for long but for now Im safe"
ОтветитьThe scariest setting of them all: Poland
ОтветитьEnglish stories: I will die for honor.
French stories: I will die for love.
German stories: I will die for glory.
Slavic stories: I will die.
I understand what you mean, I absolutely love this war of mine but I’m not really a huge survival fan
ОтветитьThe holes do WHAT?!
ОтветитьI'd argue that resource management is a big piece of the survival horror puzzle. Which is the piece of the formula that ended up in all the survival games that have sprung up over the last decade or so.
ОтветитьThe music at the beginning sounds like music from Katamari Damaci
I liked this video!
Didn't watch the video from half of it.
Im going to play it
This game feels very much like regret on the polish rejection of communism. The utter horror that you find in the forest, the cold shoulders and so on are representative of capitalist individualism.
ОтветитьThe reason why Slavs are so good at horror is because living in Eastern Europe is the closest you get to a IRL horror story.
ОтветитьTry Penumbra
Ответитьreal polish people understand that this game is a documentary
Ответитьits such a good game
one of the best ive ever played
atmosphere and tension were so on point
The stranger isn't a blank slate. He has a back story. He has clues telling who he is. The photo of the road home isn't truly his, he only found it. Only the inhabitants know the road as the road home. Its why he isn't hypnotized by the madness of the forest, and is able to wake up from the sleep. He went into the forest for reason he didn't end up there by accident. The center of the forest was his target before he even entered the forest.
ОтветитьCame across your channel and I gotta say, I like your presentations. Subbed, keep up the good work
ОтветитьI strongly suggest you try Fear and hunger 1-2 if you liked this
ОтветитьPoland is not east, but central Europe.
ОтветитьYou've done the one thing no video essay-ist has done before: convinced me to stop watching. Ive added darkwood to my wishlist and will be coming back when ive played it!!
ОтветитьThis game scares me, not many games ever have. I want to play it but it's just so scary and idk what I'm doing lol. I love it tho.
ОтветитьThe difficulty settings remind me of... the name eludes me. The dark sea, Unlondon, ze unterzea?... ah, Sunless Sea.
I don't remember much of this game 9 months later.
Chris-chan got a shout out in your credits? I thought he only liked Sonic games, lol....Really great video btw. Imma go watch a playthrough because I don't have good hand eye coordination w/re to video games.
Ответить"What's Nine Plus Ten"
Ответитьi was genuinely suprised when I saw polish in the game, I chose it at random and I LOVE IT
Ответитьslavs are good at making games about the despair because that's just how our daily lives are
Ответитьfirst few minutes of the video were a strange message for me personally; i wasn't sure if you were saying anything exactly. i couldnt explain what about it it was, but it made me think that the rest of the video would be that way and it's hard for me to wanna keep watching. was a bit of a slog, i kinda wished you had just started talking about the game i clicked on to learn about lol
Ответить"Modern games really put us on autopilot"
Dear Nintendofag, that game is 19 years old
