There are always reactionary forces that will show anger in all different shapes n forms....Not everyone is rational in conflict. But there are Some in Islamic society who have become a catalogue with an absolute authority on Islam....Unfortunately most of them are street preachers, not scholars of great learning.

How religious texts are interpreted is key. But as with any religion, they do and take what suits them best. But what I must add is this... God is all knowing, all seeing, from the beginning of team, to the end of time. We (Muslims) believe, without question, that the Quran is the word of Allah (God), unaltered and is the last scripture until the end of time.

How can people (even Muslims), say that we need to move with the times? This implies that God did not foresee times changing? So the word of God is final, and we cannot contest it.

It is extremely important not to misinterpret scripture, and can easily happen with people who do not have enough knowledge. This is why we have scholars, who've studied for years to understand and teach. Would you go and learn medicine from a book, and contest any of its text? Or would you speak with a Medical Professor to better understand?
