Woodturning - Shattered Rainbow

Has anyone ever made a resin pour/ turning video with all SHAVINGS?! Like imagine you took all of the shavings, put them in a bucket and did a pour with that. Would love to see that!

❤ The rainbow pot is beautiful, but i was getting so worried as you were cutting the rainbow pieces, and kept saying dont cut yourself, you got so close to the blade of the saw i thouth you could lose your fingers, it always freaks me out when i see a wood turning video m but your bowl turned out so gorgeous.

I noticed that the cuts lined up perpendicular to the layers and then again to the same angle as the bowls. I would think going from cylinder to bowl or vice versa would have given a much better result.

Cool end product! I have a couple questions since I have never turned acrylic. One: is there a limit to how thin the end product can be? Could you go down to, say, a quarter inch without it cracking? and Two: I have seen some people finish with more acrylic instead of sanding down to a zillion. Have you tried that and how does it compare finish wise?

When you held up the handful of shavings, it got me wondering if you'd ever tried setting the shavings from a project in resin to make a "recycled" bowl. Maybe the logistics wouldn't work, but it was a fun thought.

I’m not going to lie. I spent the first minute expecting to see a finger lost to the bandsaw.

Also einfach nur verbrennen darf man diesen Abfall nicht, viel zu giftig! Das muss man halt wirklich fachgerecht entsorgen. Man sollte es zumindest so machen, in der Praxis schaut es leider meistens ganz anders aus…
