I came up with another plan. Let me name the prisoners p1 to p10, p1 being the tallest and p10 being the shortest. P1 obviously can’t guess his hat colour. So he just says the colour of p2. Now p2 knows his colour. The strategy is, if p3 has the same color as p2, p2 just immediately says the color of his hat. Since the answer was immediate p3 knows that he’s wearing the same colour. But if p2 sees that p3 is wearing a different colour, he says his hat color after a long pause of 5 minutes. The pause meant that p2 and p3 aren’t wearing the same colour. So simple terms,
P1 tells the color of p2
P2 now knows his colour
If p3 is the same colour, he immediately says his colour
If not, he takes a long pause of 5 minutes before he says his own color
By paying attention to the timing p3 knows if his hat color is the same as p2’s

The first person can just simply tell the next person hat color. This way the first person has a 50% chance but the next guy directly knows the color of their hat.

I think my idea doesn't break the rules: thd first one says the color of the next hat. Then the others will either say their color immediately or after a pause, depending on whether the next hat is the same color or not.

I came up with idea that each person says hat color of the person standing in front of him. So probability of the first guess is 50% and everybody else will be correct for sure. This plan is much easier to follow and to be understood correctly

Can anyone guess what the flaw in my logic was (as i explain it).
I figured.. the original person could just call out the color of the person in front of him, then everyone else follow the same rule.. as a way to communicate.

So aliens make to earth and cant tell that all the building and roads are made by these creature are not intelligent? They would also have a history of their own building structures resembling ours.

I got the solution but in 10 minutes and I think I remember watching this like 4 years ago. Does that count?

As everyone can see the hat colour of next, first one will tell the hat colour of 2nd to 2nd an die but here 9 can be saved easily, why not like this ?

Or just.. agree beforehand to say the hat colour of the person in front of you.
Only the last guy will be wrong but everyone else will win.

The rules didnt say u cant just grab your hat and look at what colour it is...

Simple everyone can take off their own hat and see colour

In the rules there are nothing stating that you can or cannot take your own hat off. So everyone takes their hat of and looks at it :)

Easier and more effective solution, would just look into the cameras reflection and see the colour of your own hat in this scenario as its being filmed, go on say i'm wrong fools, next
