LEGO Technic 42160 Audi RS Q e-tron detailed building review

anyone got Control + working with na iOS phone 17.2.1(it is compatible)? it always says "Bluetooth is required to connect to the model" while my Bluetooth is on, and the Audi works fine with other apps like Powered UP (but I cannot configure the app so I am not using it).

think there is a bug in the app because when you go to the privacy settings on the iPhone you cannot allow Control + to use Bluetooth and localization settings. they simply do not exist. tried on two different phones.

So i just bought this, and I HATE the App controller. You mentioned that one could use different remotes. Is there documentation or a tutorial on how to do this?

I've also downloaded the Powered up App, and it goes completely over my head. :( I heard something about a new update that changes things in the app, but I don't know what changed since I never had the old system.

I'm trying to learn this stuff, can someone point me in the right direction to info about how to use these things? Thanks!

i will make a moc of this set when I buy it to fix all the issues the original set has, or I would use the motors to make my very custom speed champions model.

I want that one very much too, looking forward to it next time at the Lego store.

Unpopular opinion: I actually prefer the screw hubs. The batteries just feel more secure knowing the cover was screwed in. Also, since there's no need to use your fingers to open the latch, you can build around all sides of the hub for a seamless finish, especially if you want the underside of your MOC to be completely paneled up or something.

Hello, does anyone know the position of sticker number 5 (refueling valve)?

Just built the e-tron , have a niggling problem with the control's ,the wheels won't line up straight so would go round in a big circle , only slightly out. Tried recalibrating lots of times . it's like your car is out of track and needs retracting . Any idea on how to fix this problem ? kind regards Kevin

Dose it matter What batteries you use because not all are 100% percent powerful

You steer with the left hand because thats the default for almost every single racing game in existence . Its also the default on industrial robotic controls.

New hubs have screws? Why?! :( So glad my Liebherr doesn't have that, changing batteries would be a major pain.

Anyway to import it in India? I collect Lego sets but they’re so limited here in India and it’s surely hard to get a hand on such a set. The app controlled or roc models are really hard to obtain. Looks like Lego doesn’t like Indian market.

I don't get the difference between those "new parts" and the ones appeared on the bugatti chiron, can you point out that? The DC ones I agree are new but... the first ones... I think are the same as in the bugatti

I actually got this exact Lego a day before I’m commenting and I only finished 1 part but I learned I could put the main battery that comes in a box in the Lego and add the batteries after. Thx for saying u forgot now I could build without batteries and I’ll add it later. Thx again!

For better off-road use and traction a person could put some silicone in the differential to lock the small tan gears to make a locking differential.

Just set the differential aside to let the silicone set up.

I picked this up yesterday just so I can modify just about everything. ❤😂

I just built the set and I agree with some of the good points as well as the bad ones. Nevertheless. I don't often build official Lego sets, but I was surprised by the number of the steps with VERY few parts (sometimes just one) in them. I get the target age, but... Seriously? (This is indeed just a matter of taste)
Regarding the performance, I was expecting a comparable performance to the extreme off-roader... But I think this one falls in comparison. I love the double steering rack and the heavy load differentials.
In sum, for me, this is a really nice parts pack!!!

This is too expensive for me. So I rely on $10 sets.

Lego/Technic needs to start making models of regular cars that people own. All these exotic vehicles from around the world and no standard E Eclass Mercedes,or Ford F-150, Maybe a chevy and a Holden too. That and Audi makes a truck?!?!?! Why would anyone want a luxury truck?
