They also like to use toilets as part of their cooking (grilling chicken on a toilet, making a crazy candy-filled party punch in a toilet, etc . . .) Does that mean the over-the-top toilet cleaning is a kink thing too? The kink community is usually more safety-conscious, but when it comes to using them for TikTok clout, I suppose that’s different.

The storytime/baking videos definitely aren't meant for children. Its there because people nowadays have awful attention spans and need to see pretty visuals so they don't instantly scroll away.

It's really idiotic that those videos with disturbing stories targeted towards children are kept up and monetised while properly researched, informative true crime content with all the tags and warnings is removed or demonetised.

Of course there's a spectrum and the most popular true crime content can get quite disrespectful, but I've noticed that exact pattern - the more disrespectful and frivolous it is, the more likely it is to stay up. Meanwhile, creators that put a lot of care into being factual and respectful towards victims only get put down by the platform.

Omg, as someone who out of stupidity mixed bleach with vinegar to clean my bathroom, I learned the hard way to NEVER mix chemicals. Bleach and vinegar create chlorine gas, which is extremely bad. I got chemical burns on my nose just taking one whiff of my own accidental concoction. After learning of my mistake because the smell sent my alarm bells going, I had my sis look up what happens when you mix vinegar and bleach. Found out what it did, and then immediately dumped it down the drain and flushed it with tons of water (another big mistake). 4 days later, a water vein busted in our area because when flushing these chemicals down the drain the gas can cause pipes to rupture.

But you got one thing wrong; if you follow normal food safety rules there's no more chance you'll get a disease from eating rehydrated, perked-up produce than from never-wilted produce. I do it all the time, but I also have the good sense to remove the outer leaves and wash the veg in vinegar water, then trim the bottom, THEN put it in clean water in the fridge overnight. I've never gotten sick from veggies that have had a drink of water before I cooked them. You just have to use some sense.

I have friends who's kids (10, 8, 4, and 2) all play on their own personal phones, with headphones, at will and unsupervised. It make my skin crawl just to think about it. To me, allowing your children onto the internet unsupervised these days is tantamount to child abuse. You have to be almost willfully ignorant not to know what horrible things kids could get into online.

Stories about getting into cars with strangers "bc you didn't have a choice" targeted to kids and alluring them to post vids with their location???? Yikes, right??????

Regarding the cake dome-ing, you did use quite wide, deep pans for the cake batter which wouldn’t allow the cake to reach the top of the pan around the sides, using a smaller diameter pan would mean the hack would work, in my opinion 😊

The only thing worse than the morons who fall for these life hack videos are the people who post them.

At this point I genuinely think 5 Minute Crafts is trying to hurt people to go even more “viral,” so they can get headlines about such and such video causing someone’s death or major injury. So horrible.

Just curious! When did this channel stop being about baking? I appreciate the work you do encouraging media literacy, critical thinking and safety on social media, but it’s definitely a weird direction for where this channel started!
