Why are the bass pans (barrels? ^^) standing on the floor instead of being suspended? Mine always were suspended :) This way I guess the sound is reduced in volume a lot... Also, when they are angled, it's easier to play instead of this "straight" orientation^^

I grew up in South Dakota but lived in Trinidad for a couple of years back in the 1980's. Still have very fond memories of going to the upside down Hilton on Friday night to listen to the pan band, hearing the pan yard at night up the street in Petit Valley leading up to Carnival, and of course all of the great bands, large and small, during the Carnival. This brings all of the great memories back to me. Great job kids.
