I'm a proud owner of a be quiet! PURE Base 500 FX ARGB case, which has already installed RGB fans, 3x120mm and 1x140mm fan in the back, and I have a be quiet! Pure Loop 360mm AIO and a be quiet! Pure Power 12 M 1200W ATX30 PSU, as the AIO has 3 x 120mm fans installed, I used the 2 extra fans on top of the case, to give it an amazing airflow and ARGB look. It's sad that they don't have GPU AIO coolers. Because that would be the cherry on the cake.

What I just found out is, that you cannot chain the adressable LEDs. Each fan shows the same light pattern, even when not using the hub. So, if you want one fan blue and the other green, you need two RGB headers on your motherboard :-(

There is a mistake in the fans' specs. The 120 mm fan does not have a 52,3 to 88,86 CFM airflow range. The 88,86 number stands for the same value IN m3/h which obviously differs from the CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute). The same is with the 140 mm fans - their CFM max value is 56,0 whereas in m3/h the same number is converted into 95,14.

I agree regarding the orange. For me tho it was perfect because I’m building an orange themed creator build. But sometimes I wish it wasn’t there in the case I decide to switch to a different color. Maybe they could give us different colored stickers and keep their orange branding.

wub wub wub wub wub yessssss hahahahah. never disappoints thanksd! seriously doing a 2023 pc refresh and trying to keep everything i can but my 5 years old 5$ single color cheeapo led fan is sooooo old and probably burnt out motor im starting to smell but ive just bene ignoring it hahaha~ only learned this year that ever since i added more ram a few years ago my bios reset and its been a perminant default 60% fan speed for all my fans except my cpu fan............. my room was already getting hot but no wounder my system stayed hot too LOL. dont think my room can handle it buuuuuuuuuuuut im 100000000% finalyl ivnesting in some proper fans. im willing to spend properly evne if i refuse ot spend on a gpu this year HAH. a be quite black edition new version from the newer vid this year sounds PERFECT for my rear exhaust fan and thne i cna get some rgb top exhaust fans ot shine on my mobo, and a proper cpu tower cooler causei have a substantially higher tdp cpu upgrade planned hah. so i wanna make it shine LOL. might keep my triple 140mm red fans that came with my cougar panzer unless i find a serious triple pack that i can actually include in mobo addressable proper hub motor type fans that ill trust for another 5 years. cause these things have at best been running 1000 rpm for 5 years so theyre set. cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeers

I actually find be quiet!’s branding to be very tasteful. The orange on the fan hubs is so small and unobtrusive that it has never once bothered me, regardless of the color scheme I’m using. I’ve been using the same set of silent wings 3 fans for years now and never once have I thought “man, I really wish these fans didn’t have that speck of orange on them.”

Each to his own, though. I’m basically the only person who ever even sees my computer and I never notice the fan hubs but if you’re building a computer with a very strictly enforced color scheme and you just can’t stand to see the bit of orange on the hubs, a small black circular sticker could very easily solve that issue. Or a simple piece of electrical tape.

dont know if jay or anyone gonna read this but the specs showed in video are wrong, 120mm for example is not 52.3-88.86 CFM, its 52.3 CFM/88.6 mm3/h, a 88.86 CFM 120m fan would be insane

It's a shame they have such narrow lighting on the back. That makes the inside of the case look like it has mismatched fans. If the back was a true ring like the front, these would replace every fan I have. I love rgb ring fans with dark blades and hubs.

I care about noise first when it comes to fans. Then performance, because if they perform better, they can run slower, and are quieter.

In my new system I've got a Light Wings 120 PWM (not high speed tho) on the CPU cooler because I went for a Pure Rock 2 FX - slightly overpowered for the 5600x but that way I don't need a new cooler in case I upgrade. The rest of the build uses 4 Sharkoon Shark Blade RGB 120 pwm fans (two came with the case and I liked their look and the fact that they're almost as quiet as the BeQuiet ones) and one non-RGB BeQuiet Shadow Wings 2 which I moved over from my previous build. The reason for that one is simply that a) I ran out of aRGB hub slots and don't have a splitter atm and b) it's mounted in a spot where it's partially obscured anyway, so the lighting would be mostly wasted. It does improve the air flow however, to the point where the entire system is almost inaudible.
If the case didn't have the Shark Blade fans already built in (also I got a set of 3 for a very sweet price, which these days is a factor for most people) I would've gone for Light Wings 120 all around. I've had beQuiet fans, cpu coolers and power supply before and have not once been disappointed by them, plus they're mostly very reasonably priced too. Great value and great performance.

My current build has Cooler Master rgb fans in it. I like them, alright. The lighting is good. Im getting them replaced with these. I like the ring. I like Be Quiet!. My biggest turn off while watching fans spin is when the brand sticker isn't dead center. Makes the whole fan look like it's wobbling. I cant stand it. Even though I know the fan is stable.. Black sticker covering the logo is a good idea! When I do replace them, I'll also be combining it with an FX aio from bq and a new Pure Base 500 FX case. Its gonna be pretty. My new build I'm starting on soon will be the Micro ATX case by Corsair, the 280X. It comes with fans, i believe, but I'll also be replacing them with the light wings... Cant help myself.

Love Jay's videos, I'm currently moving to another pc case coming from an open air case. Now that I'm having to plan intake/outtake fans, I noticed that the out take fans that you need to place in an exposed area are fugly, the wiring and the label sticker ruin the aesthetics, I'm trying to think of a way to make it less fugly 🤔 Not much I can do about the brackets behind the fan (since they hold up the fan and all) but the wire and sticker? hmmm...

When it comes to Fans, I always go for BeQuiet fans!

There may be others Fans too, but I don´t care for them.
Were ever possible, I throw them out. Because you know, even without starting them, they will be loud and damage your hearing permanently.

To be honest, the quietness + high speed were the deciding factor for me when I chose Silent Wings3 for my 1st built recently and I love how it works well cooling my system. The fact that I was going for a All-Black Theme with only a hint of lighting. Though now I'm digging the Light Wings look and considering to change to them in the future.

ssd>ram>fan silence>performance. I can live with the non-optimal everything if I can hear my mind before the computer as a musician. Also working in retail and being a cat person, the lowest possible background noise is best for the least amount of stress-related issues diminished.
