Rory Gallagher is my favourite rock & blues Guitarist of all time. Loved his live shows & his live albums capture all that too. Some fine studio albums too and the first two were excellent for different reasons and later he did Tattoo. Absolute genius, all round versatile musician & great songwriter with always that romanticism of life on the edge and exciting interesting,anti heroes in the songs. Rory left this world too 🔜. All wrong as he was gifted and a terrible loss to all that knew him he was close too. We fans still miss him and often play his wonderful material.

I see he met Hank Marvin in a great photo somewhere on this vid. Yep I loved the Shads as a terrific instrumental band of the early sixties onwards. I wonder how long the two of them chatted.? I wonder also did Rory ever met my other guitar hero the influential & unique Bo Diddley. Would have loved them to have recorded a jam. Imagine that :/ Wow !

I’ve always liked the music of Rory Gallagher. Another musical genius who was taken well before his time. He was up there with the best blues rock musicians of the day. He has left a great legacy. I regret never being able to attend one of his live gigs. RIP

But if he hadn't died when he did .. we would never have gotten 70's Rory ..

My fave. ONe thing: How come he had no wife or girlfriend? Was he that aloof? I wonder how is love life was? Not being a wise guy just interested in his private life. He was the greatest for sure!

Rory the gaelic genius on guitar was just a wonderful humble human being. So glad I got to see him in concert, an experience that will stay with me forever. A mesmerising event to say the least of which I had three times.Every one of them different but each kick ass brilliant.Many thanks my friend, because that's how I look on Rory. A friend who brought and still brings me great joy and wonder. The Maestro!!!✊☘
