You should use mobil 1 extended performance oil filter as well with that oil and change it every 10,000 miles for better protection. Mobil 1 is the best oil out there.

I do that and it works well. I do it 2 to 3 times a year though

I also use Mobil 1 in my 2018 Corolla. I always use a premium filter too. Usually go 5000 miles between oil changes. It might be overkill but I need the car to last as long as possible. I do like how you demonstrated that you can go longer if nessesary. Keep up the good work my friend! Nice to see more videos of your Corolla too!

Oil change in a Toyota is crucial , because if you don't do anything else correct but your oil that motor will last for over 300,000 miles

i think its hard to do a comparison cause the oil that you had sitting for 5k miles would absorb the oxygen unless its in a 100 % fully air tight sealed container with no added oxygen and the oil cant be analyzed this way. it needs to be shipped to a company to have it checked immediately and then the annual oil would need to be sent immediately to make a full comparison. but to be honest i think most oil companies and car companies just picked 3k and 5k as a generic way to keep things safe so if anything goes wrong you can blame the customer for not doing the scheduled maintenance right.

For enthusiasts like you it’s strange that you don’t want to change it often, but the oil is still very dirty after a year and will start to leave sludge inside the motor. The more you change it, the cleaner your engine will stay.

I use full synthetic it says to change it every 5,000 miles but I change it every 3,000 miles. But I get does 3,000 miles in 18 months. Do you think that would be a problem? Not changing the oil for more than a year.

Good job on the Fram Ultra......... I used the Mobil 1 extended performance filters before... and the oil got dirty much much faster than when I use the Fram Ultra....... The Ultra is just a better made filter IMO.

tu no usaste una llave para el filtro de aceite? solo vi que lo giraste con la mano y ya lo pudiste cambiar, en el antiguo corolla 2014-2016 , habia que poner una llave para cambiar el filtro el 2017-2019 no hay que tener llave ahora?

One thing here, don't use Fram oil filters, they suck! If I'm short on cash, I go with Purolator but, Wix and K&N both make a damn good oil filters. Your engine will appreciate it, trust me.

Good oil selection not so good filter choice, I don't like Fram filters their quality is questionable, maybe Bosch DistancePlus, K&N, Purolator Boss might be a better choice for such a good long lasting oil.

I change oil every 8000km normally two times a year my engine feels great. 2007 BMW e87 with no leaks and no oil burning Miracle by BMW standards hehe

Where did all you people get your GEDs? None of you have a clue what your are talking about. You needed this guy to tell you the oil wasn't sludge? Mobile engineers didn't test it? Mobil 1 also makes and extended to specifically match the oil life.

Wix XP= better filter

Fram is the worst oil filter you can put on any car. Even Walmart brand is better. It’s proven to restrict oil pressure. Fram is ver badly engineered. I recommend Mobil1 filters or K&N specially if you are going to play with long oil change intervals. I’m a master ASE technician with over 25 years of experience. By the way. I don’t care how good the advertising is on an oil. I would only do 5000 miles on any oil unless is a proven true synthetic ester based oil. Today so called “synthetic” oils aren’t true synthetic oils like they were made in the 1980’s and 90’s. They changed the formulation because of a legality and now they are super synthetic oils from crude oil which is the same as a mineral oil just more refined. So not really synthetics from a chemical like ester and others. Remember. You want your car to last only 5000 miles and never use high mile oils on a new car. The chemicals are design to swell the seal to stop oil leaks. Something a new car doesn’t need.
