My issue happened hours after a huge Windows update was installed (it took almost 4 hours to download). It was resolved by uninstalling features updates

When I type cd \windows\system\config

It’s says “The system cannot find the path specified “. What do I do ?

on the last step where you do copy . .. i don't have any files all it says is 0 files and 2 dir what does that mean

TY I was trying to figure out if win 10 and 11 had the same boot! I am an AC man and my computer is great for email and YT, surfing and stuff plus all them keys...LoL!! So that's all I know...u made my day!! after the win11 update screwed me! I have forgot to save a restore point after win 11 upgrade.

I had this issue and couldn’t figure anything out. I tried everything you mentioned aside from redownloading windows installer on a flash drive. I did the command prompt too (up until the regneck/ . .. it had a problem with that) went into my bios and somehow my boot drive switched on me for whatever reason.

For me, it says no restore point was set. How can i recover it

Bitlocker is not allowing me to access my c file on my computer.

it isn't copying the .. file, saying "The system cannot find the file specified." even though it shows up in the dir

Will this work the same way if my Windows 11 update corrupted my whole computer?

My pc would work with the system restore point but this time it says you must enable system protection but I don't know how to do it pls help I worked hard to get this gaming laptop

Microsoft's is turning into a joke, it's unacceptable for a trillion dollar corporation to have a system OS that's Soo unstable that updates can actually break your PC.

Windows 11 is the biggest crap I have ever seen. I won't even start on my new PC (rtx 4090 and 13900k)

people coming here after having this issue from installing the recent update, flash update your Bios for your motherboard, it fixed the issue for me
