Ever tried talking to your baby, ever realize modern psychology is a joke? Why are you debating good vs evil, do you need some papers the rest of your whole life to realize to just not question the good presented to you? Do you need to tear everything to pieces, see maybe the act of tearing and tearing up will clue you in on the fact that evil is cut in and out the same way you made this video report…through you free green card of any thing is at your free will.

i doubt the babies didn't want their own kind cheerio eater puppet to not be punished.
I suspect the desire to pair with the similar preference puppet is an overriding survival mechanism.
My country right or wrong, is a survival mechanism. and in babies it's uninimpinged. So the babies were not being evil, they were being "good" to their own tribe.

Also the younger children might have chosen the green smaller pile over the bigger pile as they couldn't understand that the blue pile was bigger than the green one.

Children are built like little birds to want as much as possible, as in a food scarcity environment it is a 0 sum game. In the child's mind both blue and green offered the same prizes irrespective of number of chips. The difference in chips is what matters more than the size of the pile.

Many studies have shown little kids can't tell the difference between the same sizes, if they are packaged differently.

All babies are born good. We are each grieved with time and age in a dog-eat-dog world of a never ending rat race of out of control consumerism in a never ending rise of living expense, and pop-culture destroying humanity. The truth is the truth.

Many Religious groups(Most of them really) actually believes that we are All born "Evil" and have to learn True loving kindness(Compassion), Altruism and so on from "Jesus"?. You can ONLY learn these "Virtues" the hard way really, and among other people but NOT from a book or someone talking about it. You simply just learn how to "Fake it" and that is NOT a good thing but rather terrible. 🙂😇🥰

I am very open to changing my mind on this topic, however I don’t believe that this study actually shows us that babies have morality. If it shows anything at all I believe it’s actually them having a preference to the one relating to themselves; the one that would make them feel safer. If my theory is correct, they can recognize good but I feel like it would be a survival mechanism or even safety and comfort in the way of it reminds them of their mothers actions. This means it doesn’t mean that they like it because they would do it, themselves. It’s about how it relates to their survival, safety, and comfort. I don’t think that we are inherently good or born good. however, I do believe we are meant to be good and it’s been evolutionarily chosen for or else we wouldn’t have dedicated parts of our brain to compassion and we wouldn’t see people lacking it as psychopaths or having some other mental disorder. It’s too complex but I’d really like to find out the truth.

The idea that we are born evil makes no sense : )
We are born with no sense of self ; Whatever we become is 100% due to Conditioning / Programming !
If we are subject to lack of Love we behave ` badly `, If we are subject to Love we behave in a ` Good ` way
` Evil ` is just the Lack of Love . . .
& We all know Love is the Answer ! : ) : )

I wonder ... do the babies choose the puppet that leads to a reward? If so, these tests would not measure morality.

@marzuqah3
@marzuqah3 - 17.03.2024 22:50

these experiments are kind of biased because I think when babies are exposed to evil or wrong things they develop that schema and THEN understand that they can be evil too, this right here is a learnt behaviour, as for choosing the right from the wrong, this is instinctive and inherent, and so it proved that they are innately good.

Although this is very fascinating isn't it a bit of a stretch to conclude from these experiments that babies are bigots or we are all inherently racist? I'm sure we are all born with this innate desire to belong and share something in common with people we like or to find a trait in the people we like that make us feel safe. Did the baby who chose the stuffed animal who was "mean" to the stuffed animal who ate the different snack really choose the "mean" one because they didn't like the other stuffed animal? Would the baby still choose that same "mean" toy if they did something else "mean" to a different toy? What if the puppeteer made crying noises when the same "mean" toy did something wrong to another toy? Would the baby still choose the same "mean" toy? And does the baby really consider stopping someone from opening a box "mean"? The toy that was stopped wasn't crying or showing signs of sadness...I'd like to see them hold up all three dolls, the "nice" doll, the "mean" doll and the doll that was trying to open the box and see which ones the baby leans in to reach for.

"Born to Hate"

No. It's wanting to be close to Good.

I love this video, dislike the commentary.

From Day 1, your job is to be loving and connect to the baby you birthed into this world - you teach them.

I promise you, a baby comes into this world knowing Good, having just met God.

And yes, we are humans with a missing piece. That piece is best filled with meaning. We try to survive.

I don't think this is about morality, the baby considering one puppet "bad" and the other "good". is only about survival, "mean" behavior is dangerous, it makes us perceive the other as a threat to our well being, so of course when babies see that behavior feel the same threatening sense from the mean toy and will avoid it.

Be sure not to be sticking the one you want the baby to choose right in front of its face . Why not put the bad one directly in front of its face and the good one off to the side . Would he reach for the good one ? Or make the bad one dressed in bright fun colors and design compared to a boring looking good one
