This cannot be Earth.

Kirby is 8 inches tall and yet everything around him seems pretty accessible for his stature.

Where as the Average Human is around 5ft

Meaning we would be likely the same size as Leongar....ergo to tall for everything in this world.

I actually played through this game thinking it was meant to be an abandoned version of earth, since the area? Cities and malls and nature, and Lab Discovera was probably something meant for science before Leon got to it

I think the animals look like that because in shiverstar there were animals or creatures chambered in things. That could be the animals.

I thought that same thing when I saw this game.

In area 4 in the game, we see 2 famous British landmarks: Big Ben, and the British lift bridge. Those are only on Earth. I think that shiver star is another Planet that humans went to after forgetting Earth. Than they corrupted Shiver star and left to another planet.

I have a theory that the Forgotten Land is the Earth from Mario Odyssey lol
And the city is the remains of New Donk, perhaps?

Theory: dreamland is flat

We have never found out where Kirby is actually from. We know that he currently lives in Dreamland, but we never found out where he grew up.
What if this is Kirby's home. Where his kind are from, and possibly an origin story for Meta knight.

I just want to mention that this is the first Kirby game to ever include “fear” in its age rating. This could involve the slight horror of discovering that the “forgotten land” is actually our own home planet. A sort of Planet of the Apes twist.

Elfin resembles a flying squirrel, yes they are real, they use webbed skin as wings connecting their arms and legs to fly

What if Shiver Star isn’t Earth, but has the same layout of major landmasses due to geological parallel evolution?

Personally my theory is that the game takes place in the mirror world

Shiver star descriptions mention its civilisation left to another world, in the factory level you see animals in giant tubes, wich are mutated and enlarged
Just saying be it shiver star or the planet humans left to, both seem possible so far

If this game takes place on Earth, like you suggested, then I hope they would put in a destroyed Statue of Liberty, so the players would do that Planet of the Apes joke.

I debunked this theory because theyre's already a planet that already look like (or is) earth, "Shiver Star".

Maybe the new locations will be abandoned earthling settlements still on planet popstar

I really think that the setting of Kirby and the Forgotten Land could be Shiver Star from the good ole' days of the Nintendo 64 in Kirby 64. That is what I think.

the only way for this to convince me that this takes place in earth is if there's some form of remains for HR-H in this, possibly in the ice area but we don't know what's gonna happen yet

I’m not sure if it’s earth as one instruction manual said pop star is light years away, I think it’s more of an alternate “earth” and not shiver star.
