Team Taiyou should know that all ace monsters of team 5D's are Dragon-Type. They shouldn't get rid of their own Dragon Capture Jar.

The fact they're succesfully summon Zushin is crazy

Anime Zushin isn't really invincible. It only has targeting protection, like the TCG/OCG Obelisk. Cards like Black Rose Dragon or Wave Force (Synchro version of Mirror Force) can get rid of it. Unaffected Zushin is in Tag Force games and TCG/OCG one.

I remembered rolling my eyes at the beginning of this duel and the episode as a whole, passing it off trying to make team Taiyo even more of an underdog than team 5Ds with the generic “Hey, they did their best and that what matters” moral. But the moment I discovered their strategy, much like the crowd themselves, I immediately switched gear and got invested in the duel, even finding myself rooting for them at one point in the duel. It’s honestly an amazing and heartwarming duel that unexpectedly one of the best ones in 5DS too. No joke.

Aqui es donde conocemos a quienes de volverian leyendas el team taiyo, en mi opinión este equipo merece ser reconocidos como leyendas y honran al maximo jugador de cartas amarillas joey.

The fact that Taiyo made it to the finals with their stall/burn strategy is actually pretty impressive.

Here's a thought.
Imagine if they used a card to flip the attack and Defense points of monsters on the field, and it was a continus card, they could buff the defense like crazy and use it to body Red Dragon Archfiend.

This is one of the best duels in all of Yugioh. Not only are the protagonists not the underdogs, but team Taiyou managed to summon something nearly unbeatable, but couldn't beat the protagonist's teamwork,. I love it when the duels are more sportsmanlike that antagonistic. So much more respect between the duelists.

Yusei should have lost. When Zushin attacked Shooting Star Dragon its ability to remove itself to negate the attack should have been negated since it was during the battle.

Something I heard about this duel are this. It wasn't dubbed for the American audience. Team Taiyo shared one duel runner.

I never understood why they don't have monsters with more defense even if they just have weak card I think there are weak mosnter with more defense than 900 if I were them I will use two hand holding genies together...we know they have it in multiple copies

I hate that they cut out this duel. This would've been loved by dub watchers for the Egyptian God Cards reference alone.

This was an amazing duel in 5Ds and Team Taiyo are interesting characters

How did Team Taiyo get this far in the tournment and no one knew their strat?

While the duel was okay to good, what irks me more is the english subtitles. Yeah, i know, it's just fan translations, but at that point it should be mandatory to at least know the basics with sentence building and whatever else.

I think my favourite part (which wasn’t really shown in this video) was everyone in the background trying to figure out what Team Taiyo’s aim was while the duel was going on. It had such a unique mysterious feel about it, like they were waiting for something to happen that no one could see, plus the red herring with Hand-Holding Genie. Just pure magic

I hate that a name like “sword master” was wasted on such a garbage card

They had to have different strategy than playing zushin, otherwise their trump card would've been easily figured out and countered. How else did they win the other matches leading up to this?
