Is the pomodoro technique have any scientific validity has an iota of truth? Say yes or no and nothing else
Yes
What is the pomodoro technique
The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method that involves breaking your work into focused intervals, typically 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. It is named after the Italian word for "tomato" because its creator, Francesco Cirillo, used a tomato-shaped kitchen timer when he first developed the technique in the late 1980s. The method is designed to improve productivity and focus by encouraging periods of intense concentration followed by short rest periods.

Thank you, very helpful🤗
ОтветитьGonna do this tomorrow...
ОтветитьHey, so what is your take on having some gamified habit-building apps, like Habitica and other RPG-inspired apps that aim to boost one's productivity? Did you ever use some of these?
ОтветитьIsn't it the same as Feynman technique
ОтветитьBest video I have ever seen. Hope it will be very useful for you ((Mastering Time Management Achieve More In Less Time))...........
ОтветитьI will be trying this! Thank you.
Ответитьthanks a lot
ОтветитьIm going to incorporate this in my job. For passions i work on at home ill do 50/10
Ответитьnice
ОтветитьWatching this during a 5 minute break lol
ОтветитьI don't know, this technique sounds like copium to me, like trying to trick your brain into thinking that it will make whatever you're doing more bearable and easier.
ОтветитьI study 1 hour then take 23 hrs break
ОтветитьI struggled with procrastination for a long time since high school. I'm so glad that I discovered it early on in my first semester and it helped me overcome procrastination big time!
Ответитьpomodoro technique is good
but in my opinion you should work as much as your capabilities i can work straight 1 hour so please those who have more patience and energy don't follow pomodoro
Noob tip:
If you are a noob to this technique like me, I suggest buying a tiny simplistic pomodoro timer and not using an app. The chibi timer needs to be simple and easy to set up. Don't buy a big fancy one with tons of features. Using a dedicated timer makes it easier to develop the habit of using the pomodoro technique (read Atomic Habits to learn the psychology behind it). Its very existence on your work table works as a reminder to use the damn technique. Trust me, your pomodoro app will disappear amid the sea of apps on your phone or pc. The timer on your table, however, will not disappear. Also, do not use your pomodoro timer as an alarm clock, or you will start to hate it. You don't wanna hate your chibi timer. You gotta love it. Heck, even pet it, or I will inform PETA.
I am going to try this technique today and I hope it works. 😇
ОтветитьPerfect
ОтветитьI went 47 seconds over my break is it your fault or mine
ОтветитьI love how this video was 5 minutes😅
ОтветитьVery good you will be a good night watchman in front of ur neighbor gate soon
ОтветитьHow have I gone a whole 35 YEARS without EVER learning ANYTHING about this magical little study method!? 😅 I’m gonna get SOOO much shit done now!!!
Ответить50/10 works well for me in engineering
ОтветитьI am having difficulties finding the 30/30 app on my iPhone. Has it been renamed?
ОтветитьSometimes I don't take break cuz short topic are more interesting
ОтветитьThanks!
Ответитьu deadass bro? like legit im here trying to save time and use my time efficiently and you here talking about the history of the pomodoro
ОтветитьWhat are the things I should do during the 25 minutes of reading(should I memorize)?
ОтветитьCan yo provide a link to the 30/30 app or the most effective and simple timer app for implementing the pomodoro technique? I have an iPhone but not Apple Watch
Ответить5 minute break is too short for me. I am 42 years old ... And I suffer from Shiny Object Syndrome 👀👑💌👣🤳. I think 30 minutes of work, should be followed by a 30 minutes recess or some work alternative... (or hobby) that challenges the brain in a new way.
"Burning" is unhealthy. Don't do it. Make the topic exciting by questioning yourself about the significance of the task you are doing, and concentrate on improving ❤️🩹 or fixing something.
Thank you for sharing.
While watching this video it took me 3 distractions before finishing this video, including typing this comment 😅,. Anyway thank you for this video 🐱
ОтветитьI took a 21 year break, still workin on it
ОтветитьCant use this on math. Usually it take a day straight for me to understand it 😂
ОтветитьGreat video, the pomodoro technique is a very useful technique to maintain concentration and discipline yourself
Ответитьhow you only worked 5 minutes and takes 25 hours break
ОтветитьI use this method and find it quite useful! However, instead of working for 25 minutes and resting for 5 minutes. I work for 1 hour and have a break for 10 minutes. 25/5 minutes is just too short to concentrate on work or relax (both 25 minutes and 5 minutes to me are too short!)
but, it is still useful :)
The Pomodoro technique was not invented by Cirillo. It was just documented by him. I used this technique when I was studying engineering in the late 1970's. I have used this technique for years throughout my life. Did I invent it, maybe? Or did I learn it from my father or my older sister or teacher, I really can not say. It much like the technique, I used to over come writer block for essays in high school. I would start writing whatever came to my head. Within a few minutes, I was able to write the essay. It may have not been a work of art but a "B" is better than an "F".
ОтветитьThe early 1990s?? WHAT?!! Feels like yesterday...
ОтветитьI’m a medical coder and started taking 10 minute breaks every hour a few months ago. We receive productivity reports every month, and I was very excited to see that my productivity had gone up about 10% with this new method.
ОтветитьCan’t find the 30/30 talked about in the video. Can anyone drop a link?
ОтветитьThank you so much! As a student in the medical field, It really helps a lot. Maraming salamat po.
ОтветитьI enjoy watching your drawing
ОтветитьCharlotte Mason for adults.
Ответить🙏🏻♥️
ОтветитьLOL This is very anxiety provoking!
ОтветитьWho just came from ted talk
Ответитьi'll watch this later
ОтветитьPeople can focus for 25 minutes? I would love to know how to focus for even 25 seconds.
ОтветитьI work for 1 hour and then take 4-5 hour break .
Basically i work for 4-4.5 hours daily
