Running out of hill. At this point in the sport, with jumpers staying in the air for almost 10 seconds, when will it be decided on to simply make a longer landing area? Or design a wind tunnel to keep a jumper in the air for ten minutes, or indefinitely? It is inevitable that some sports will reach their limit and possibly be phased out due to technology and human innovation. Ski jumping is one of those sports, as much as I LOVE it, it can´t last forever as a competitive sport. All jumpers will essentially be equal.
