Europe has been described as a continent filled with rich history, beautiful architecture, and diverse cultures. However, despite its many positive attributes, there are several reasons why I dislike Europe and Europeans. From my personal experiences and observations, I have come to understand that Europe is not as idyllic as it is often portrayed. In this paper, I will outline the reasons why I dislike Europe and its inhabitants.

The first reason why I dislike Europe is due to its history of colonization and imperialism. For centuries, Europeans have colonized and exploited other countries and cultures, leaving a lasting impact on their societies and economies. The effects of colonization can still be seen in many former colonies, such as the economic disparities and cultural assimilation. This history of exploitation and dominance has led to a sense of entitlement among Europeans, as they often believe they are superior to other races and cultures. This attitude is evident in the way they treat immigrants and refugees, who are often met with hostility and discrimination.

Moreover, the European Union (EU) has been a source of frustration for many countries. While the idea of a united Europe may seem appealing, the reality is that the EU has created an unequal playing field for its member states. The dominance of countries such as Germany and France has resulted in smaller, less powerful countries being marginalized and their voices not being heard. The strict regulations and policies imposed by the EU have also hindered the growth and development of these smaller countries, leading to economic struggles and political tensions.

Furthermore, Europe's attitude towards diversity and multiculturalism is something that I find problematic. While many European countries boast of their diverse populations, the reality is that racism and discrimination are still prevalent. Immigrants and people of color often face discrimination in the job market, housing, and education, among other areas. This is evident in the rise of far-right political parties and the increasing number of hate crimes targeting minorities. The lack of inclusion and acceptance of different cultures and races is a major issue in Europe, and it is something that greatly contributes to my dislike of the continent.

Another reason why I dislike Europeans is their arrogance and sense of entitlement. Many Europeans have a condescending attitude towards non-Europeans, often viewing them as inferior. This is evident in the way they talk about other cultures and their tendency to impose their values and beliefs onto others. Furthermore, the idea of the 'white savior complex' is prevalent in Europe, where Europeans believe it is their duty to 'civilize' and 'save' people from non-Western countries. This attitude is not only patronizing but also perpetuates harmful stereotypes and undermines the agency of non-Europeans.

Lastly, I dislike Europe because of the high cost of living and the growing income inequality. While Europe may be known for its social welfare systems and high standard of living, the reality is that many Europeans struggle to make ends meet. The cost of living in major cities is exorbitant, making it difficult for the average person to afford basic necessities. This is compounded by the growing income inequality, where the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer. The lack of affordable housing and rising income inequality make it challenging for individuals and families to thrive in Europe.

In conclusion, while Europe may have its positive attributes, there are several reasons why I dislike Europe and Europeans. From its history of colonization and imperialism to its attitude towards diversity and multiculturalism, Europe has a long way to go in terms of addressing these issues. The continent's arrogance and sense of entitlement, coupled with the high cost of living and income inequality, make it difficult for me to view Europe in a positive light. As a global citizen, I hope that Europe and its inhabitants can work towards addressing these issues and creating a more inclusive and equitable society.

Why not buy in another country and have a better quality of life. I'm also looking into Italy. It's a big country with lots of choices. You can just be a short train or bus ride from a major city. Sicily has Palermo a city of several hundred thousand.

The white ones I ran into in Europe appear to be upset that they can no longer be openly racist to minorities and their white privileges are slowly disappearing. Many European countries have little anti racism laws and not enforceable.

I'm in college and considering moving to Europe once I'm done. I've seen people talk about all the drawbacks, I'd have to apply for a visa, etc. But I have an ace up my sleeve. A European passport. The best thing about being born to immigrant parents is getting to have two passports. I know where to go. I know the language, I blend in easily, and things are getting worse here in America.

For a health tax equal to six percent of my income, which is median for my new Central European home country, I get full healthcare with no deductibles or copays. My total taxes, including social taxes, are about 12 percent of my gross salary. We get a lot for that, including walkable cities and great inexpensive public transportation throughout the country. Moving abroad, even to Europe, is quite doable without being wealthy. I am not, and I did it in my 50s during the middle of Trump's horrific reign. Do not be hoodwinked by the ill-informed naysayers in the comments section. You can get out and have a far better life in so many countries in the EU and other places around the world.

African countries are the place to go. Africa is a virgin continent with plenty of opportunities for people willing to work and build things up from scratch. Europe is probably declining faster than the US.

Americans can't just move to Europe, you can stay up to 3 month with a turist visa and extend it to 6 month. This people either married a European, are in Europe with a student or working visa. In oder for you to retire in Europe you need a minimum retirement of 30 thousand euros a year to get a temporary residence, so you'll have to proof of that salary 5 years later on your review for a permanent residence.

I retired a couple years early and we moved to Spain in 2017. Five years later we still love life here. No regrets.

Oh, it's not just Sicily. You can buy an entire village here in Spain at a reasonable cost (for what you get.)

Tomorrow we leave for a month long Interrail trip. Yeah, life's rough here.

I've chosen: ALBANIA.

After 53 years of living in Maryland, and living in SC from 1969-1971, I've had enough BS. Flats in the capitol Tirana priced from $300 to $600, internet for $20 and restaurant costs of about $5, what's not to like?

Plus if you own a TV or computer there a TV license fee in most European countries to fund the public broadcasting. The license fee is included in the electric bill. That broadcasting includes multiple language services of Radio Tirana primarily for overseas listeners.

I'll wrap up my career and take my retirement and leave. I'd go now, but it's worth taking the time to get those obligations outta the way!
