My window 8RT is not running app that wasn't downloaded from Microsoft store

And yet it don't help with Windows RT 8.1

how can you download google chrome to a surface pro 2? I recently bought the chrome cast and it works perfectly in my phone but I want to use my surface instead.

I'm trying to install Google Chrome on my brand new computer and when I go to the website and click the download button nothing will happen I could hit the download button 200 times and it'll still stay on the same page I been having problems with dow loading lots of things idk why but it's the same problem I'll click on the link and nothing will happen please help.

I am interested in installing both Firefox and/or Chrome on my Windows Surface RT 8.1. Where can I find that info.

I was given a Windows Surface RT as a gift and so far, I am VERY, VERY disappointed! It came with Windows 8 and I downloaded and installed Windows 8.1 because I read on several tech websites that if I installed Windows 8.1, I would be able to install the Google Chrome browser. Actually, my preferred browser is Firefox. Until I can get this thing running with the things 'I LIKE' on it, I am not at all impressed with this thing. If I had purchased it myself, I would already be back to the store asking for my money back.

My surface 2 won't let me download because it said that the app can't run on my PC. It said to go to the windows store and it's not there. some one help. Maybe make a video about that problem.

this is for windows surface 8.0/8.1 PRO. not RT.
RT cannot install any external exe. you need to jailbreak first. but only 8.0 is available for now. not 8.1. google for the batch file.

He is right be careful I dowoaed chrome and it would t open and I got astromenda which was my default browser and PC pro cleanup haha
