I have the numbers these numbers inside of the cover of the main unit. 09A08 and 01407108476. My outdoor sensor shows dashes. I have followed the instructins for a reset to no avail. I imagine the out=rdor sensor is inoperable. How do I order another?

Did the restart and the outdoor readings still go to dashes after a while. Did find in one of your videos, pressing the “temp” button until it beeps will bring the outdoor reading back for a while. Also showing 5 bars when connected but it drops anyway.

You need to update this video, my friend! I have a La Crosse with 3 channels but I only want to monitor 1 of the channels. How do I make it ignore the other two unused channels? Otherwise a good video.

I have an older unit, model 308-805. It recently had all dashes just with the outside temp. I changed batteries in the sensor (model NO 00592TX) it blinks a red like about every 20 seconds or so with the new batteries. I followed the video instructions and the unit is still showing dashes for the outdoor temp. Any ideas as to what else I could try?

Correction: I twice did the backup exactly as stated with my old and new sensor I just bought and I still had dashes on outside temperature. Then I did the restart by not putting batteries into the main unit and just plugged in the power cord and the new sensor finally worked.

My Weather Station (model s85814v2) outdoor temperature seems to be stuck at 21 degrees F. Is that normal? We did have a slight thunderstorm 2 days ago. It's currently reading "21°F, 76% Humidity"

ADDITIONAL STEP TO TRY IN ORDER TO RECONNECT YOUR CLOCK TO ITS SENSOR===> I want to add a step to those in the video, a step which FINALLY fixed the problem for me. Once the batteries are removed, check the metal prongs which hold the positive and negative ends of the batteries. If there is corrosion, scrape it off to the bare metal, then replace the batteries, then follow the above steps. THAT is what worked for me... Additionally, I switched to lithium-ion batteries because they do not leak out and corrode the metal prongs, so I should not have to deal with this in the future. I have an old unit which is discontinued and the sensors are discontinued also, so it was important to figure this out. Main unit is model 8418it and the sensor is model TX37U.

I have an older LaCrosse 8157it (it also says 3N7) with only two batteries powering the base. This video has been tremendously helpful in re-syncing the outdoor sensor to the base, since I was considering I might have to buy a completely new clock and now I don't have to. The outdoor sensor still reads 3 degrees too high, but I've adjusted to that and just compensate for it. Thank you.

Do you require a SECOND sensor for the Indoor Temperature reading OR is it internal to device (station)?

I have experienced this "non connect" issue from straight out of the box. I gave up when first purchased the unit and now a few weeks later, after regaining my sanity, sorta, I am trying to connect the sensor again and so far it's a big fat NO. I am losing faith in this company.

Oh, my goodness! I was just getting ready to toss my device and found this video. My weather display was an older version that didn't have a remote. After trying everything I could possibly think of I tried the 20 times button pushing and the rest of your instructions. I didn't think it would work since my unit was older and different. After letting it sit for 20min I pushed 1 button, and it lit up beautifully just like out of the box. I'm in shock. I can't express enough how happy I am about this. Thanks a million, and God Bless!

Does the LTV-D1 extra display connect to the LTV-TH2i sensor because the extra display shows dashes and I don’t know if it connects to the that sensor or the original LTV-TH2 sensor

We have the unit with the anemometer that is solar powered. About 15 minutes ago, it was working but just now the outdoor readings for wind, temp and humidity are all dashes. Since the outdoor unit has a built in battery, how do we reset it? Why did it stop communicating?

I've done this dozens of times with new batteries. Sometimes it goes for a few days or a couple weeks and the dashes reappear. My sensor at most 25 feet away. I threw out an old unit for the same thing. Thinking of trashing this for another brand. This unit only a few months old.

I don’t have a wifi one but it doesn’t wanna register the correct temp outside. Placed it outside, facing west towards Colorado, as suggested, didn’t work at first, then worked for a few months and then went back to not working again. Gonna try the batteries but never had this problem with other ones I bought.

Hello. I've watched all your videos and read all your manuals, but my remote sensor is not transmitting to the base unit, or, the base unit is not receiving signals from the remote unit. All new batteries, reset both units per your video, base unit shows bars in its search for the remote unit. Remote unit red LED even blinking. All this but no Outdoor temperature shows on the base unit--only dashes. What can you suggest? Return the unit via Amazon and you send me a new one? Please advise. Thanks

My remote stopped working so I installed new batteries and cleaned the battery terminals. The red light is not intermittently flashing, so I assume it is not working and it would useless for me to go through the factory reset process.

I had dashes on all of my digital thermometers even different brands during a gloomy all day rain, tried popping a battery out in all the sensors but still had dashes. Thermometers are outside but in dry locations with new batteries. I pressed the signal button and saw they were searching for signal but that day the temp readout never came back. The next day when the rain stopped they came back. Also I have 3 Lacrosse weather stations are each sensor specific to each station, or can I get away with just one sensor ?

Worked like a charm! Swapped out my sensor batteries before they died in the cold, home unit wouldn't pick up the sensor even when 1 foot away, came here, solved the issue. I'll be back in a few months when I do the same thing and don't remember how to get it to work again. ;)

I have a La Crosse indoor/outdoor weather monitoring station that I bought in the early 2000's (WS-9031) I got at Costco. I did not know about the loss of signal that happens with the loss of signals that surfaces with a change of batteries with the outside which was available for purchase when I though the unit was down permanently. I did a more digging today and found this solution worked though the keys stick on the back of the unit so it took a lot longer time to set up the unit from the factory settings. A long time ago I downloaded the user manual when is essential to have on hand in setting up the indoor unit unit.
What I like about this model is it keeps up with the current time, even the time change to and from Daylight Savings Time.
What I like about this model is that it reads out in seconds (which is a hard to find in new models) thi and the heads-up feature is used when in bed. It is dated but works well for me.
