Total War: WARHAMMER III - Patch Notes 2.2

I came to this franchise only recently, but honestly............. it's as addictive as crack. I plunked over 500 hours into Troy before starting WH2 and I'm so screwed. I love every single faction. I have WH3 scheduled for maybe 2028, or as soon as I finish with WH2. Wish me luck.

A bit late but in the long run I hope they add in options for settlement and siege battles alongside the end game scenarios.

Sieges for capital and forts and minor settlements have options for buildables:
Yes as is ( buildables work as currently available)
Yes pre-built only ( you get even more starting supplies and can build pre-battle but not during battle and supply and capture points instead add small bonuses to melee defence, leadership, and vigor)
No buildables ( There are no buildables in sieges/ minor settlement battles instead capture points peovide moderate boosts to the defenders abilities)

Further more minor settlements could have a further three options
Always ( minor settlement battles happen regardless of buildings in settlement)
Garrison only ( minor settlement battles only happen if the garrison building has been built in a settlement)
Never (minor settlement battles are always land battles regardless of buildings in the settlement).

Just some options for battles and campaigns, hopefully even more maps for all factions will come. With better unique maps for locations like the Galleons Graveyard.

For the game, please implement a "Reset Button" for the character skill points. Even if it´s just for the legendary lords.

Hey ca can you make a chaos engame cenario that 1. Sporns in armys at the south and north Pool
2. Comtinuisly spirns in armys every copple turns
3. Only ends if you hold certein north, south chaos waist settlements, plus you or your alles holld all the order faction capitals

And maybe make some chaos Portals sporn every copple turn that sporn in armys after 3 turns???

Or make chaos corruption spread 3 times as hard, so 100% chaos means it gives all ajacent privinces +5 chaos???

I cant play this game ffs have ryzen 9 3950x with ddr 4 16 gb rám and eagle rtx 3070 on lowest 250 fps but sometimes it crashes mid battle sometimes i can run huge battles but every time it random crashes… what a broke sh***

Here I am wondering why none of the small towns are remotely defensible and then I discover it's a DESIGN CHOICE. STUPID! Stop trying to make me play how you want to play. Give me the option to build walls!

I loke both, the historical Titles and the Warhammer universe. What I do no tlike are the mixes like Three Kingdoms or Troy. Those are two different Planets and CA should not mix them, because hard Warhammer Fans will not like the real world and hard historical Fans do not like Fantasy and RPG elements. I like both, but these two Worlds should be seperated. Julius Caesar should not be a fire mage, I want to win with the army and its abilities. But I really enjoy that in Warhammer.

Is Easy difficulty actually easy again?

Would been amazing if CA instead of focus on units that will barely be used to actually leave players the option to play how they like, tho its plossible on easy diffeculty to recruit awful units and stomp, most faction has only a few playstyle which is such a shame... they added so many more units for what? to give incentive to use them ? so many of them will just not be used, and late game you are sitting with a diversity of 2 maybe when it comes to high elfs 3 diffrent army composition

(for example) Making The empires cav work, would been fun to experiment giving heroes buffs to boost units in an army like warlock engineers or dwarf heroes

After 50 turns using same tactic cuz its solid it does get quite boring, no matter how fun it was in the first round

Wouldnt been such an awful update for those who wouldnt like such a update either, or leave it possible for those unsatisfied with such an option to upt-out

No doubt the player base will fall apart after the disepointment of this game which is really just an expanded TW-Warhammer 2(atleast i do feel that way, barely reach 460 hours on warhammer 3, and it feels old and dull, tho cinnomatic shots are cool, it is just sooooooo much wasted work)

Atleast in the commentary on updates CA did mention that they like to go absolute nuts possibly boost units to the extreme, which would leave alot of fun for the players, being able to experiment etc

Numerous stuff possibly to boost, charge bonus, armor bonus, melee attack/defence bonus, range bonus...

Ofc iam not advocating for it to be implimented into MP but in campaign it would been fun and really what i expected this game to be like

i guess your 2.2 fix for empire confederation overlap broke the elector count system cause i havent got dilemma for more thank 20 turns already. i have 3 10 fealty elector count not triggering confed.

The settlement changes were and are the biggest for me. Since I bought the game, I refused to play it until now because of the minor settlement battles. I can actually enjoy the campaign and as it turns out, it's a pretty enjoyable experience.

Really nice video! Great personality and line delivery! I do miss the safety that comes with building tier 3 city defense in minor settlements providing walls. Would it be possible to have minor settlement fights always be in actually in the settlement instead of a land battle, and have upgrades to the town/town defense just add on more defenses/barricades/etc. until you build the level 3 town defense which will create a walled settlement? Also, just a comment as a die hard Rome2/Attila fan, 360 degree city sieges please!

Question why is there a cap to the amount of legendary lord buffs you can get at first I thought maybe it was just the one but nope I now have 6 generals that no longer gain a trait for beating a legendary lord :/

Maybe I'm missing something here but please for the love of God fix the points system for heroes and lords - They allow leveling up to 50, with 50 points, and some of them don't even have 50 slots! Then you get a never ending alert that they have available points but some heroes ( Lord Kroak for example ) fully level up at 44 points. It is driving me crazy !

So I just have to say, thanks for the updates and improvements to the game. HOWEVER I’m actually extremely upset about how the settlement battles play now, I personally really liked the fact town battles happened in towns. Having to fight a town battle as a field battle is just as repetitive and you have less advantage with a smaller force so why change this. I’m playing a Bretonnia campaign and this update has completely screwed my entire game up, all my minor town with walls suddenly have no walls and are being blitzed by all my enemies. If for the majority of factions taking away the walls and town battles is the way you wanna go sure I guess. But the walled settlement for a Bretonnian city that got to Level 3 was a major mechanic for the faction the made them stand apart from other factions and now it’s gone. Very annoying and disappointing, makes me not even want to continue this campaign and this is my favorite faction which is depressing. Please revisit this feature and at least come to a good middle ground, thanks.

Your game in 2.2 just become a waste of time.

I found a bug.
When trying to bring over a saved Ice Maiden, I got the Boyard portrait and unit.

Pulling off decisive and heroic victories makes no difference except less casualties. Not getting the extra exp for a good victory is just bad design. A general dominating the enemy is clearly better at using his army than the general still winning but getting massive casualties. A good victory should be rewarded.

Focus on balance and please add these 3 essential things: 1.) Ogre mercenaries suck as a mechanic in WH3 compared to Warhammer 2. There should be events and more unit variety than just Ogre Bulls. It should be just like Grom's river hag merchant. 2.) I would personally love to see the realms of Chaos in Immortal Empires. They would definitely not need chaos rifts yet the items and battle maps they bring should be used in cool ways! 3.) Gotrek and Felix should be reworked to have proper levels and skills. It's weird they're just static blank slates. Love that you included them again though!

CA please! I don't think decreasing the amount of battles in small towns is the solution. You've done this before. Rome 2 and Attila are proof of that! If you repeat the same formula I'm sure it would be good. And of course a wider variety of maps as they were in other games.

I've been loving this game so much - I gave it a chance after pretty much only playing TW2 because of the initial bugs - and now I'm being forced to stop playing again because of an incessant crash problem that has been occurring during the middle of my turn since this new update (playing as Morathi, around turn 100). I've tried clearing saves, verifying files/patching over, saving and reloading saves, everything I can think of or find online... nothing gives. Please fix this, it's really such a bummer and the game has gotten so good otherwise that it's really sad that I can't play!!!

So is this game no longer DOA? lol...seriously though, ive spent thousands of hours across total war titles and had to put this one down after about 30 minutes. I'll wait another 6 months before i try this garbage again

The Green Guardian should be renamed into The Jade Guardian so its name fits the Cathayan theme more.

tyrion sunfang quest is bugged, wont send trigger the objective to complete battle, will always result in loss

and im starting to get more random crashes, which is weird cuz i barely had any before aside from once awhile endturn crashes

Can you revert the slave changes? The 2.1 system was not amazing by any stretch but atleast it was not frustrating like it is now. I just dont understand the gameplay design philosophy behind it, there is no reward for the effort of keeping PO up. The gameplay experience as Dark Elfs is now worse. The saying goes "If its not broken dont fix it" its NOT "if its working, break it"

Next update, please give Dreadlords access to Manticore mounts, Skink Chiefs access to Ripperdactyl mounts, High Elf Princes/Princesses access to Tiranoc Chariot mounts, High Elf Nobles access to Griffon mounts, Chaos Sorcerer Lords and Exalted Heroes of Nurgle access to the Palanquin, and Chaos Lords and Chaos Sorcerers of Slaanesh access to Steed of Slaanesh.
