When you were talking about how weird the blocks were take into note that the blocks you were talking about were defects that failed l, so that stuff movement is on purpose because you are failing the deflect.

If you're using the proper stance in-game for the opponent you're fighting, the blades will always connect on a parry. Problem was dude was using wind stance when he should have been using water stance. [In-game.]

In the game Jin Sakai the main character actually goes against his code of honour and does not honour the deaths of mongols he uses poison and assassinations to kill the mongols

You can tell this is mostly alpha footage. Half of these dodges and moves don't exist in the released game. So when you mentioned the "questionable blocks", like the one where he side stepped and a deflection spark appeared up high, that isn't in the game. I think released game footage would've been better to react to. Alpha early development footage that's more geared towards cinematography and not actually gameplay didn't do well for this.

They can't even put the accent on the correct sillable in Tsujima. Lost any kind of authority after a gew seconds. What a no go.
